Looking To Pick Up A New White Buzz Bait And Maybe A Double Buzz Bait
When you get on a good buzzbait bite its best to have two rigged up. One that goes left and one that goes right. You want to whack cover with them . Which ever you choose look at the way the prop spins then find another brand that goes the other way. My best combo is the Original Lunker Lure and a generic store brand .

Color Buzzbait
I like black, white and yellow.

Weedguards On Jigs
If its a monofilament weed guard , you may want to split it in half with your thumb creating a V . I also like to bend them back and forth , to make them less stiff. The solid plastic weed guards I put a knife blade under it and press with thumb on top , pull the weed guard through several times . That will weaken it and bend it down some .

Bomber Cranks
Are you talking about the old metal lipped bombers ? I have used them foe night fishing too .

Bomber Cranks
I fish a lot of Bombers. Long A Minnows , Flat A's and Model A's . Long A's are post spawn lunker baits , Flat A's are fantastic in the Mississippi. Models A's are just a good all around bait. For some reason I've had my best luck in the fall with Model A's . I've had days when the weather was cold and miserable and the model A was the only bait I could find that works .

Dissolved Oxygen Requirements For Bass
For what its worth. I had a light temperature probe. On Mark Twain lake the light and temp always plummeted where the depth finder showed a thermocline. I quit using it . It seemed light , temp and O2 were always connected .Other lakes may be different .

Best Soft Plastic Craw?
I've never used a Craw I didnt like. Salt Craws and Guido Bugs are two of my favorites. The great thing about a Guido bug is it is so smooth , if you have a question if that was a fish or not , all you have to do is examine it for teeth marks .

Bass Pro's E-Z Lure Retriever?
I have one of the hound dog lure retrievers. I tied it on a marker buoy. Its paid for itself many times over. Im going to put it on a broken rod and reel , the marker buoy is kind of awkward . The Hound dog doesnt have the chain like the easy retriever. I think that chain would make it better .

Spoons From The Bank
Yes. I pond fished a lot as a teenager and caught lots of bass with Johnson Silver Minnows. It was the first weedless bait I ever fished .I didnt even use a trailer. Didnt know you were suppose to .

Classic Predictions
Seriously , Im going with Paul Elias. He thinks outside the box . History shows when he gets on fish he catches them .

Square Bill Newbie
x2 . Action and color can make a difference. I prefer baits that have a tighter action and less water displacement and no rattles. I dont know what baits today fit this but Im sure there are some available. I still have some old lures that produce great. Which silent square bills being manufactured today , have a tight action?Something less than the The KVD's and RC's .

1St Tournament
I did well in tournaments way back in the 80's . Finding off shore fish was my specialty . I did a lot of map work. Eventually everyone did a lot of map work and all those spots became fished out. Just saying that sometimes the bad looking spots are better than the good looking spots because it seems like everyone knows what to look for .

Classic Predictions
Im going with Roland Houston .

Listening To Music
I dont know if it affects fishing or not. Ive always heard that music or talking doesnt but the bass do hear it. All I know is when Im fishing by myself , being extra stealthy , I catch more fish than when I'm with someone and gabbing away and making twice the noise .

Today's Frankenbait
The old v twin spins ? I think you have a good idea. Bet it would work great. I might beat you to it , if I could just find an old v twin spin .

Reels
They are the old green cu200's. They have a lot more miles than the PQ. Maybe when the PQ gets as many miles as they I will recant .

First Bassmaster Classic Pictures
Tom Mann , Bobby Murray , Roland Martin.... They may as well been named Mickey Mantel to me. I met Tom Mann once. He handed me a six thousand dollar first place check .

Early Morning Bass Fishing? There Asleep
Joedodge , reading your post , I think the lower light conditions the better the fishing would be for the clear water you fish . You should try night fishing sometime. Let it be dark for a couple of hours before trying it. I prefer bright moonlit nights and buzzbaits .

Reels
I bought a Pro Qualifer combo two years ago on sale. Rod and reel for 100 dollars. It is my favorite outfit. I have Shimano Curados on Shimano Compre rods and like the PQ better. I cant comment on the other two. If I hadnt just acquired some new reels I would definitely pick up two more Qualifiers. Right now I need a couple of good inexpensive rods for about fifty dollars each .

The One That Got Away!
Carp are usually snagged , stay on the bottom and make long , strong runs. Large Channels and flatheads also stay on the bottom, will often hit a rattling crankbait hard and fight steadily , with slow pulsating pulls on the rod. Blue Cats will spin in circles and you will end up with a lot of slime on your line .

Pre-Rap Storm Thin Fins
I dont think the very old Thin Fins from the 70's rattled .
