  1. Only if you feel it matters. Use what you have confidence in.

Zoom finesse worm, 2/0 hook, and 1/8oz tungsten weight unpegged. Hollow body frog. 3/8oz jig with craw trailer.
  3. Throw a paca chunk on there and flip some boat docks. They work just fine.
  4. A gathering could double as a swap meet.
  5. Did you watch the video? What's the guy doing?
  6. When I hear micro guides I think about the size of a Duckett MicroMagic rod. I would fish with guides the size of the Avid X's for frogging.
  7. Is it a frog specific technique rod?
  8. TAT711MHRB is the MH/F
  9. F and XF are available.
  10. There's a 7'1"MH. Is that extra 1" a deal breaker?
  11. You get a lot more rod with the Tatula rods for not much more money. They really are spectacular rods.
  12. IMHO the Tatula rods are just about as good, but at a much better price.
  13. As a co-angler I keep things at 6 rods. Even if I know I won't be using a certain setup I like the comfort of knowing that if I have a catastrophic failure with one setup I can grab a backup. I keep everything neat and organized so my gear is never in my, or the boaters, way.
  14. I switched to VMC last year for my EWG hooks, and haven't looked back.
  15. x2 on the Hog Tonic! This has been the scent I've been the happiest with for soft plastics. I use my Megastrike for hard baits like spinnerbaits, and crankbaits.
  16. In this these types of weeds I like to use a Missile Baits D-Bomb, T-rigged.
  17. Like I started my comment with I just got my first spool, and used it for 1 club tournament. I very well may change my tune, which overall is very positive. At the end of the day the Invisix is more readily available for me, so I'll stick with that.
  18. To start off with learning I would suggest that you spool up with some cheap mono as you will have many backlashs. Braid most certainly can be used, but when you create your birds nest it's SOOO much harder to dig out.
  19. I lean all my rods in the corner of my closet, and haven't seen any issues. The summer heat inside the car might be a concern though.
  20. I'm a righty, and all my reels are left handed. I tried using my best friends RH, but it was just too awkward for me.
  21. I just tried my first spool of super FC sniper, and I'm "so so" with it. I think it has about the same stretch as Invisix, but not as good in the abrasion department. It transmitted what was happening at the business end of the line just fine - again compared to Invisix. The worst part about the stuff is really that I can only find it online. Invisix is readily available for me, and the local tackle shop gives me a discount because of my fishing club. I would absolutely recommend it, but for the reasons I stated above I'll keep using Invisix.
  22. I have 2 Zillion 100SHLA's and have no problems throwing a 1/4oz lure. Both have stock bearings and spool. My PX-R is a much better option for this weight, but don't think the Zillion isn't up to the task. The rod your using is IMHO much more important in being able to get down to 1/4oz.
