  1. Nice. How fast were you retrieving it? Did you impart any additional action on the retrieve?
  2. Darryl want's the old Rick back. He started to get it at the end there with that truck/pig scene.
  3. I used to say the same thing about the Giants. This year it seems like every week.
  4. They are spending way too much time showing those two caring and worrying about each other. Last episode it's the "I don't want you to go out there" scene. This episode it was the picture taking and kissing of the hand scene. It's only a matter of time I have a feeling. If I had a vote it would be Glenn ... Guy thing. LOL
  5. Unfortunately mid to end of October all the way through to April-ish. This is the longest I have gone fishing for bass. I'm not a fan of the cold and ice fishing just isn't the same. If and I say IF I am lucky my work will send me someplace warm where I might be able to cast a line or two after hours.
  6. I use Seaguar InvizX exclusively. Red label for leader material. If price is an issue then I would stick with Red Label over any others.
  7. A gory filled episode. Loved every minute of it! Two love interests killed off in 2 episodes. A little foreshadowing ?? Maybe Glenn or Maggie down the road?
  8. Watching the Discovery channel special on Zombies. We are all going to die!
  9. Remember the pig ... Maybe the pork they are eating killed him.
  10. Red Eye Shads can be addicting. I think I own most of those colors just because I wanted to try them. LOL. Seriously I found myself sticking to these 4 no matter where I fish. Confidence thing I guess. 1 - Chrome Black or Blue - Sunny 2 - Gold Black - Cloudy 3 - Chartreuse Baitfish - Dirtier water 4 - Sexy Shad - All Purpose If I were to add 2 more it would be 5 - Sexy Ghost Minnow - Very Clear water (very rare for me) 6 - Yellow Perch (new) - We have a ton of perch up north. Had to buy it.
  11. Freakin' awesome ... I can only imagine what that was like on a drop shot. LOL
  12. I was born and raised in the Bronx, NYC and I never really spent time outdoors (woods, lakes, ponds etc.) as a child. 100% pure urban kid. Never in my wildest dreams did I think I would be fishing for bass in tournaments. The outdoors rock and I wish I had "found" it sooner.
  13. Good tip. Have some unpainted ball jigs I was "practicing" with and I clearly understand what you are taking about. Thanks
  14. I couldn't figure that out. He just seemed to get sick. He mentioned it at the book reading/knife using class. After that it just got worse. I'm sure they will try to explain it when he off's someone next week.
  15. I have a friend that over one season broke 3 veritas rods. It could be user error but he has used other brands with zero issues. His experience deterred me from buying one myself.
  16. Update ... someone came forward and confessed to the murder. http://www.wapt.com/news/central-mississippi/jackson/jpd-teen-confesses-to-bass-fishermans-slaying/-/9156912/22459794/-/2aakb8z/-/index.html
  17. The new Boo Rig .... There are 4 different kinds. One of which is to do exactly what you are describing here. I have heard of this technique but haven't tried it myself. I would think the C-Rig approach would be more versatile. Not sure you need to buy a rig specifically for that purpose IMO. I do like the other ones. Especially the 4 willow around a snap. Similar to something else that Z-Man lures came out with.
  18. I just picked up the black at my local Harbor Freight to paint my weights (bullet, drop shot etc.). Already learned there is an "art" to heating up the weight. Too hot and it clumps right up on it.
  19. Looks like the Quad Zilla. I thought it would take a tiny bit of time for competitors to copy that. Silly me!
  20. There is a ton at Wally World. I picked up a 6' Medium for running around a bank.
  21. Saw it on another website. Just sick! Wow!
  22. Was I the only one upset to see Harry Potter turn?
  23. Saw the late session. They definitely introduced some new and interesting characters. Looking forward to the season. Especially since my Giants stink! LOL
  24. 20lb Abrazx is a little tough to manage so I switched to 65lb Braid with a 20lb Abrazx leader. All my other baitcasters have InvizX. 10, 12 and 15 lb FC. I also use the KVD stuff the night before I fish. Especially tournament nights.
  25. I have. I used Seaguar InvizX fluorocarbon (10lb and 8lb) and it worked fine. I find that FC on spinning reels has a ton to do with the quality of the FC you use and how you spool it on to minimize memory. Gene has a video on this and it's essentially what I do. Don't forget the KVD lure and line stuff! Use liberally. One other tip is to avoid overfilling it or else you will deal with issues. I tried braid too and ultimately switched them all to PowerPro 10lb Braid and use FC leaders as I need to. On my 2nd spool on the Orra 20 I still have straight fluoro.
