Hate to sound rude, but if you don't even know if you will have a job, a reel would probably be the last thing on my mind.

I would rather have a reel that was higher quality. You can always buy a few baits here and there. Not saying the black max is a bad reel, just saying I would opt for the higher quality one.

I never make a leader so long that I have to cast through my guides. Any knot is going to cause some type of resistance and I'm not comfortable with it banging against my guides cast after cast.

I have found drag plays a big role in my hook up ratio.

I hate to be the forum "drunk" but it takes like 2 seconds to take a drink. Some of you act like you are gonna miss 200 casts if you drink a few beers. I can throw out a soft plastic, let it fall and take a drink while it falls. Might do this every few casts but I wouldn't say I have completely lost focus because of it. A lot of holier than thou posts in this thread.

Spinnerbait and buzzbait. Those used to be my go to baits and now I have almost completely quit using them. Moved more into crankbaits and walking baits.

The NBA needs to do away with the conf. and take the top 16 teams. The East was so weak this year it wasn't even funny. There have also been years where the West was so weak it wasn't funny. I just don't think we actually find out who the best team is when we have to watch a conf. that in general just sucks.
