  1. That would be Xcalibur. This is how things get so confusing.
  2. I use Sufix 832 in 50lb with a Sunline Sniper 20lb leader for my C-rigs. Just what I use though. I'm sure you will get many options, and most will more than likely suit your needs.
  3. There is obviously some paranoia. There are some Rayburn Red Xcalibur lipless going for some pretty hefty prices on an auction site.
  4. Not hostile. Just noticed you did spell it different in the same post.
  5. Xcalibur, Excalibur can someone actually get it right and post correct information?
  6. I can also give a positive nod to the Tatula. Depending on how you "palm" the reel, you may or may not like it.
  7. My uncle suffered from depression. He had seen a Dr and was prescribed meds. He was fine for a number of years and quite pleasant to be around. He loved to fish and was very knowledgeable. However he was a very "to himself" kind of guy. He didn't lime to go out in public and didn't associate with many people outside our family. We lost him 2 years ago this July after he took his own life. Depression is a very serious thing and sometimes people are battling demons that most of us can't fathom. Be there for him and talk to him. He may or may not be willing to go to a Dr, but if he will talk, listen and tell him that you are willing to help him anyway you can. Good luck and I hope it works out.
  8. Might want to give a price range. There are a TON of great reels out there. Its kind of depending on what you want to spend.
  9. Yes sir. Have your drag set right and you won't have to worry about ripping the hooks out.
  10. I prefer a MH-F action for both. However, you have to let the rod play the fish. You can't horse them in. I just don't like the way a M rod feels for ripping through grass with a lipless and bouncing off the bottom with a square bill
  11. I'm far from an expert, but if I were to buy 3 "do it all" rods. They would be as followed. 6'8" MH-F (lipless, square bill, jerkbait) 6'10" MH-F (top water, spinner bait) 7'2" MH-XF (bottom contact) I would use a 6. ration on first two and a 7. on the third. These are just what I would do. I'm sure you will get many different opinions. But remember these are all just opinions, no real right or wrong answer.
  12. Vinnie Paul would get my vote
  13. Over 250, but not too far over huh?
  14. Its here, its just about 5 years too late. Money waited till he knew he could win. He might not can read, but he is smarter than most people give him credit for.
  15. People who don't weigh bass tend to catch a ton of 5-6 lbers and even a few 8's. People who weigh fish tend to catch more 3-5 lbers with a couple 5-6's thrown in.
  16. I like to cover a lot of water with a lipless crank in a red craw color this time of year. If you can find fish, some will recommend a jerk bait, however I SUCK at fishing a jerk bait and I'm not afraid to admit it Lol.
  17. Does anyone know if he gave out the same bait he used to anyone else or kept them to himself?
  18. Isn't that the definition of an XF?
  19. Beer usually seems to get me itching for new tackle.
  20. This, and some refer to a spot as a Kentucky bass.
  21. So basically you have no idea what you are talking about and want the rule changed?
  22. I wonder how many guys in the NBA don't shoot in their home arena because they don't want an advantage on their opponent? I'm guessing none. He took advantage of the situation. Nothing stopped anyone else from doing the same thing.
  23. Casey Ashley takes the lead. Here come the "he's a cheater" crowd.
