I have always been curious when I read these threads so I figured I would ask on this one. Are these ponds on public land or just random ponds that you fish? I have always wondered if there are this many public ponds in other states.

Jerry Rice used stick em on his gloves. He probably shouldn't be in the hall of fame because without that he most certainly wouldn't have been half the receiver he was.

When you are on top, people will ALWAYS look for a reason to bring you down. Does any one care if Jacksonville did this last year? Of course not, they suck so no one would care. Just like when pitchers were scuffing the ball. No one knows if the sorry pitchers were doing it, just the good ones.

Wait, you worry if your leader is getting a nick in it, but you don't worry if your braid is? I am much more worried about my braid when fishing cover as opposed to my leader.

I'm cutting him plenty of slack. But when someone who has been doing something for a year in ponds is going to try and act like they are rewriting the books, then I want it to be something I have never heard of.

Winner, winner, chicken dinner. I don't use a leader because I think braid scares fish, but for these reasons.

Some of this stuff is pretty advanced. Almost earth shattering.

That was exactly what I was thinking.

Gary Dobyns probably isn't familiar with these advanced techniques. I'm mainly concerned with how I can use these particular techniques. Would "almost always wacky weightless" work in 20 foot of water? I suppose I'm not patient enough to use it in this scenario, but I can see where in a pond with 4' of water it would work much better.

And if 29 won it, that puts the average fish at 4.8 which is more than a 3 oz difference.

But even with 6 fish, if the biggest was 4.3 and the other 5 were 4.2, that would still only be 25.3 (if my math is correct)

So would these "advanced" techniques work in lakes. I can catch fish on just about anything in a pond. A large lake is a VERY different story. I once thought I was a good fishermen, when I fished ponds.

This thread is very strange to say the least.

I'm not proud of my divorce because I believe I could have done more to "attempt" to make it work. But now that woman is my best friend and we have a GREAT friendship. Her husband and I are great friends and her new son calls me Uncle Justin. We still have our sons birthdays together and we do everything we can to make his life as normal as possible. So I won't say my divorce was necessarily a success, but the way we have handled it is by far the greatest accomplishment of my life.

40lb braid with fluoro leader. I use Sufix 832 with 15lb Sunline Sniper

The ones I had tore up easily and would deform if they were bent in the package. I had the blue gill and baby bass and I have caught more fish on a money minnow than the baby bass.

So explain to the gentlemen why the Okuma is inferior.....BTW, I have never owned an Okuma, only Shimano, Daiwa and Abu.

My buddy and I have been tourney fishing for 4 years. We have been friends for about 20. We have a system down for unloading and loading the boat that works flawlessly. I do most of the things that have already been posted. However one thing I do that he "really enjoys" is sing from the back of the boat. These aren't songs you would hear on the radio, more like tunes I just make up. I've been told more than once to "stop singing"

As a grown man I suppose my desire to meet any other grown man and be overwhelmed by his presence is beyond my desires. I would never ask for an autograph or a picture. I don't know what makes an athlete, actor or fisherman any better of a person than I am.
