Desean Jackson....released
So, when is Dallas going to cut Dez Bryant?????

Desean Jackson....released
"Doubt" "must be" "nobody knows" That says all I need to know. Until hard facts are presented, this is all speculation. Not saying he didn't do anything to deserve to be cut, but to speculate is not something I am fond of.

Desean Jackson....released
Real stand up organization. Didn't they sign a former dog killer, and let a guy play who made racist comments on camera? But, they "think" he has gang ties, so they cut him????? Pretty stand up I guess.

Why Technique Specific?
I suppose technique specific is good in theory, but I'm not sold on it. For example a MH-F rod will vary from one company to another so it may or may not be what one would prefer for whatever application that manufacturer says it should be used for. Also, what I like to throw spinnerbaits on, someone else may not. So if every company is selling a 7' MH-xf as a spinnerbait rod and I prefer a 6'9" MH-f then I may be forced to buy a "lipless or squarebill" rod if that is all I can find. And heavan forbid I am seen throwing a spinnerbait on a rod that was made for a squarebill. Also, it is hard to tell the actual action of a rod without getting it out on the water. I am guilty of doing the ol whip the horse technique in the store, but that doesn't really tell you much about the rod.

Check Out This Natural Wonder
Pretty neat. Kind of reminds me of a funny story. I was on an Archery forum and this guy in Ohio, Missouri, Illinois (somewhere in the Midwest) was talking about a tree he needed cut down in his front yard because he thought it was a danger to his house. Anyway he proceeds to say it is about 300 ft tall. I had fun with that one.

Fishing Pressured Lakes
Do you have a different strategy if you are fishing a lake that sees a lot of traffic? I fish a lake that is only 1,300 acres. There are on average 3 tourneys a week on it and I would say an average of 50 boats a day on the weekends (which is the only time I have been) I have found some good spots and some fairly productive baits, but I think I could be catching more. Is there a technique you use to try to catch more fish? I have read things like slow down, down size, etc....but I am wondering if there are different approaches. My buddy thinks we need to find something that the fish don't see on a daily basis. I am not sure they recognize baits, but I suppose it is possible.

Rod/reel For My Kids
I bought my son (when he was 7) an Abu Garcia Cardinal rod and reel combo to use. He mainly uses it to crappie fish, but it is a good little combo for him. I bought him the smallest reel that Wal Mart had (don't remember if it was an S10 or S20) and a 6' M rod. I think I only had like $70 in it, but it has served him well. I have tried getting him into a baitcaster, but I think he is still too young (heck, I think I was 13 before I got the hang of it)

Core 51 Drag Star
The Curado E series was a GREAT reel. I can't believe it was a plastic drag star. Who would have thunk it. The Shimano fanboys cry about Daiwa using plastic drag stars. Really, who abuses their reels so much that they are going to break a drag star???????

What's The Weirdest Food You've Ever Eaten Or Tasted?
They are like a delicacy around here. We don't have as many cows anymore and we quit roping years ago, so I actually haven't had them in prob five years. Another I will add, not sure how many people have had them. Is Morel mushrooms.

Daiwa Tatula And Curado 300E
My Tat's are stock and I was throwing an Xcalibur XR 50 today further than I could with my Curado G's. Probably 40 yards or so. With a 3/8 Chatterbait I was getting probably 30 yards. Both reels using 14lb Sufix.

Who In Their Right Mind...
I would never pay $900 for a rod, but interestingly enough I had over $2,000 in an AR-15 that I shot maybe 5 times in 2 years. The only difference in a gun and a fishing rod is how much of your initial investment you can recoup should you decide to sell. But if it is something someone plans to keep and use a lot, and they have the cash, then I say more power to them.

Duckett Ghost Rods
Nope, just the Ghost series.

3" Havoc Pit Boss
That's what I was thinking. A jig looks like nothing I have ever seen in the water. A brush hog, sweet beaver, 7" power worm...all catch fish and I don't know what they are supposed to look like.

Tatula Vs Curado I
I too prefer a 90mm handle and I haven't had any problems with my Tatula. I have owned Curados form the B, D, E, and G series and they are all good reels. However, don't let someone who has never actually used a Tatula sway you away from them. BTW, for a size comparison. I wear a L glove in most brands. Here is my hand palming the Tatula
