What is so funny about it???? This happens in sports all the time. Golfers might swear by Titleist and then they switch to Nike. It doesn't mean they no longer like Titleist, it simply means they got a better deal (more money probably) from Nike. You do realize that these people make a majority of their living off of endorsements and sponsorships don't you? Therefore, they are going to do what is in their best interest. Nothing new really.

I like a 6'9" MH fast rod for what I consider a general purpose rod. I throw spinnerbaits, chatterbaits, buzzbaits, and even lipless cranks on it at times. I find that size to be a pretty good all around rod.

Looks like it to me. Maybe you could only set one side of the brake, but I am not sure.

Most people who bash something have never actually used that something. This is the internet after all. I am sure I would think a lot of guys here are married to ugly chicks, but since I don't know them personally, I shouldn't talk smack about them.

Sorry, that one still has yellow on it. Do that to one brake and then if that doesn't work, try it on another and then if that doesn't work try the third. The further away from center the brake is the slower your spool turns. I can't explain it very well, but I think I know what I am talking about

Take the brake at the two white arrows and push them toward the blue line.

It is about the same size as a Citica 200E which most Shimano fanboys claim is a great reel. (and I agree)

Yep, they are a tough crowd. I love Shimano reels, but I also can appreciate a quality reel when I use one. I have used just about every reel from every manufacturer and I can tell you that the top end reels are all great reels. I even took up for the G series Curado when others bashed it. It is what it is. This is no different than any other thing out there. Just opinions. And we all know what they say about opinions

Sufix Elite or Sunline Super Natural. I prefer Sufix though.

I don't have a problem with the way mine palms, but I have pretty big hands. I actually can't really tell much difference in it and a Curado 100D.

Sure I did. But only when my parents got home from work or they knew where I was going to be. I was 8 years old 26 years ago. I think a lot has changed since then. A cell phone can enable a kid to go wherever he/she wants and lie about their location. Times have changed, for the worse I am afraid.

Sorry, I didn't mean it like that. I am saying that most of the kids in his class that have them are the ones running the streets after school. He is responsible enough to have one. However, he doesn't need one for any reason that I can come up with.

My Son is 8 and he will not be getting one anytime soon. Some of his classmates have one, and that makes him feel like he needs one. However, he doesn't NEED one because I am a good parent and I know where my son is at all times. The kids in his class who have one are the same ones who run around all over town and their parents need to be able to get a hold of them. I am amazed at the lack of parenting I see these days. Every situation is different, but I don't think any kid under the age of 12 really NEEDS a cell phone. I feel at that age kids start extra curricular activities and may need to stay in touch with their parents.

I love mine........but I can honestly say I was no where near that impressed. They are great reels, but not to the point of making me taking it to the next level.

I have been this way for as long as I can remember. My first memories were when I was about 10. I couldn't sleep because I was getting up early to go to a baseball card show. Then I remember as I got older it was baseball tournaments on the weekends. Then it turned to hunting and fishing. I have a hard time sleeping anyway and the anticipation of an event the next day only makes things worse. I have tried Benadryl, Nyquil, a few beers, etc, etc, and it seems as though nothing works. The bad thing about it is, I hit a wall about 10:00 in the morning and feel like crap till I can get some fluids and food in me.

Never been there, but they might be doing some dam running. There has to be some dam fish there. All you can do is give it a good dam try, I hope you catch some dam fish. I will be here all week
