Soft plastics weight
I agree. It's winter still though, so I assume these type threads will stick around a while. LOL

- Damage from tournaments
I have ZERO numbers to back up what I am about to say, but I bet there are bigger bass caught pre-spawn (feeding stage) as opposed to the spawn (sitting on beds). Anyone who hunts deer will tell you that a big buck is easier to kill during the pre-rut (searching for a hot doe) as opposed to the full rut (breeding a doe).- Co-angler Etiquette Question
Here ya go- 32 GB SD card for Humminbird???
True? Not sure, but I used a 32gb to do my updates just to be safe.- Glass/Composite Rod Help

Lipless, spinnerbait, squarebill- Days are slowly getting longer!
Not really, the sun doesn't shine an hour longer. You could set your clock 3 hours forward if you want, doesn't mean there was more daylight.- waves
More than likely height, and they are more than likely are calling 1 ft waves 3 ft waves. Think about how far your deck is above the water, a 3 ft wave is twice as tall. Texoma and Eufaula are the only lakes I have been on where I would say there were 2 ft waves and that is more than enough foe me.- Why are fishermen called “sticks”?
Better than Hammer- Sealing damaged fiberglass
You can fix it yourself pretty easily. I made a stupid move when I first got my boat and tried to install a new rod organizer in my rod box and used screws that were too long. I just watched a couple videos on youtube, ordered the stuff and went to work. I had ZERO experience with fiberglass, gel-coat, etc. You can't hardly tell where it was. It takes a lot of time and coats to do it right though. Here's a before and after.- Fish 2 up front on 18' Fiberglass boat
I have a single console TR-186 (18'6") and I wouldn't fish 2 out of the front unless I had the power poles down and we were pitching to the same structure and I couldn't position the boat any other direction. The only time I have ran in to this situation was fishing a brushpile in a creek. Otherwise, I wouldn't do it. That being said, I have fished out of 21' boats before and I wouldn't want to fish 2 on the front deck.- 2020 JDM Metanium or...
I've said it before, and I will say it again. I think the 20 Met is the best Shimano reel out right now. I wouldn't hesitate at all to use it for JB's. That being said, if I were looking at a reel for a dedicated JB rod, I might lean toward the Alde. I had an Alde 50 on a 6'6 M Expride and it was an amazing combo. Actually one of the few I regret selling. You can't go wrong with either though.- Interesting breakdown on various styles and techniques of fishing.
Nobody has to talk me in to fishing shallow. LOL- Livescope/Active Target: Ghost Tree Gone. Apples To Apples
^^^^^ Yea, I didn't understand the post. Looked like it was copy and pasted from another forum or something since Lowrance is releasing Active Target soon. Active Target was mentioned first then Live Target was what Live Scope was being compared to later in the post. I have always heard Live Scope was 100x better than Live Target so it wouldn't make sense for Garmin to need an update to match the Live Target. But I don't know, just didn't understand what he was trying to say.- Havasu in Late March/Early April

Okay- Lake Eufaula Oklahoma in late March
I don't know where you will be coming from, but here is what I know. I can only tell you the places I have launched from, take it for what its worth. I will try to relate this as I think about fishing from a kayak. Peters Point is in Eufaula and I would call this "mid lake", you can fish Eufaula Cove Marina and probably do well there. There are a lot of rocks on the south bank as you head east out of the marina and there are a ton of small mouth in these waters. Porum landing is on the North East side of the lake close to Stigler. This would be where I would go if fishing out of a kayak. A lot of coves and protected waters there and the fish should be shallow. Bug Tussle/Crowder area is on the South end of the lake. I have had good luck there fishing the brush. I have heard it is really good for crappie, but I have done well bass fishing there. I haven't been in a few years and these are the only places I have launched from. Hopefully someone can give more insight.- Lake Eufaula Oklahoma in late March
Massive is an understatement lol Where will you be putting in at? I have no idea how kayak tourneys work, not sure if everyone starts from the same area or what.- Rapala RHCDS50 Scale Not Recording Light Fish
I don't care what anyone says, I applaud you for having a set of scales. I can't stand those "Here's my PB, what does it weigh" threads.- One top water rod
I would go MH if it were me.- One rod many reels
If I were going to do something like that. I would rather have a 3 different rods and one reel and just switch the reel between the rods and keep the same line on the one reel. A M, MH and H rod and 40 lb braid on the reel. I could fish a treble hook bait, a Texas rig and a Frog. I would just adjust drag and add leaders as needed.- Retirement Suggestions Please
No wonder you still look the same as you did in that throw back picture from when you were in college that you posted the other day.- Co-angler Etiquette Question
I watched that video. I like the part about the boater using live scope to fish a brush pile and giving the guy in the back not many options. And the part about Tommy Biffle cutting the line and possibly stabbing the co-angler. LOL - Never have I ever....
