  1. I would say this. You will need to add 2 new batteries for your TM. I say new because it is best if you are using batteries of the same age on your TM. Yes, you will need a new plug which will also mean you need to run new wire to the bow. IMO, running the correct wiring is paramount in a good system. You can keep your cranking battery if you wish. Now you have 3 batteries so it would be best to run a 3 bank charger. That's the simple answer. It can get much more complex and expensive though.
  2. I hear that. My daughter is 12 and is hitting 49-50 and that is too fast for this old man. Especially with her learning a drop and a rise ball. I don't have it in me anymore.
  3. Yep, Curado DC is 7.8 and 7.9 Really wish they would have just went with the Scorpion 70 DC
  4. I hate to hear that. However, I will try to look at it on the bright side. He has a whole year to get stronger and work on his mechanics without having to worry about pitching at the high school level. I realize missing a season will be a bummer, but it could actually help his arm in the long run. Most kids that are 15, 16, 17 are still growing and developing and this is a time in their careers that many of them sustain injuries that last for the rest of their lives. Now is the time for him to focus on the little things and do the rehab and work his butt off. Realistically, I don't think missing his Freshman year will hurt him as bad as you might think. The experience would be great, but he will get plenty of looks down the road if he does what he needs to this year.
  5. You can literally use it for ANYTHING. In fact, there isn't really a thing you couldn't use it for outside of 1/16 oz and down. Even then, with the right line, it might work.
  6. Hey @A-Jay don't show him what a box of 110's looks like! LOL
  7. That's why I wouldn't worry as much about how much I spent as opposed to trying to learn the best techniques for the season he will be going. But other than that, why wouldn't these questions be asked to the pro BIL instead? Wouldn't he know more than us? LOL
  8. I doubt he will be impressed if you don't know what you are doing on the water. I have seen guys with the "best" new shiny driver on the market and couldn't hit a fairway if their life depended on it. I was not impressed even though they had a $600 club in their hand.
  9. I hope this doesn't come off as rude, because I promise I am trying to help. I think people have tried really hard to help you out here lately. You have started like 17 threads in the last 15 days. A lot of the times you don't get the answers you want or think you should be getting and you come off as kind of rude to the members that are actually trying to help you. You tell them things like "that doesn't help me". Just like this thread, it has only been up an hour and you are already "bumping" the thread. Someone makes a suggestion like using a rod for tubes and you ask "what's a tube?" You could use Google to figure out what a tube is and that might help to answer the question of what that person would use the rod for. Once again, we are all here to help, but give it time. Read up and use the search engine. Read the articles and use You Tube because sometimes seeing it is better than reading about it.
  10. To add to that. Read up on the difference between I-Pilot and I-Pilot Link.
  11. This was used back when "high-end" was really a new thing. Stood for Bait Cast For the Rich.
  12. 6'9 M 7' M 7'2 MH 7'2 H Spend as much as you want.
  13. This is very similar to how I approach it. I might have a 7'2 MH Expride with a 1/4 oz Texas rig and a 7'2 H Expride with a 1/2 oz Texas rig. Both could very well have a sweet beaver on them. Right beside them could be a 7'2 MH Zodias with a 3/16 oz and a 7'2 H Zodias with a 3/8 oz and a baby brush hog on both. Heck I might even pitch all 4 at the same stump before I move on. LOL
  14. Looks like a trident, so maybe Neptune's domain?
  15. They replaced a Crucial that was probably 15 years old with a Curado. Still haven't heard a thing from them on my PA.
  16. They sent me a new Curado rod as a replacement. Kind of makes me wish I wouldn't have sent it in now that I think about it. I should have just wrote it off as a loss.
  17. Same....is it a wake bait with the straight tail or a rear prop style bait? Literally one of the worse listings I have ever seen.
  18. It helped you catch more fish and you would advise someone not use it?
  19. His face is what I think mine probably looks like when I am trying to launch a frog on a heavy rod and let the spool go a little too soon and it goes super high.
  20. I bought a brand new Shimano Poison Adrena 7'3 MH in March of last year. In Sept of last year it snapped(exploded) on a hook set. I filled out the warranty, sent the rod and receipt back and I have yet to hear from them. Am I upset? NOPE, not at all. They replaced a Zodias in 2019 and they replaced a Crucial that I had used for probably 15 years with a Curado rod. Honestly, I feel like I got my $370 out of that rod as I used it a LOT last Summer. It is what it is. I have reached out through email numerous times and I have yet to receive a response, but I won't hesitate to keep buying Shimano products.
  21. What does that have to do with anything? He specifically asked about the Met and the Alde so that's what people were discussing. I suppose if you don't have anything to add to that then you can just move along. But then that would mean you wouldn't get the opportunity to try to make yourself feel better. BTW, you should post some pics in the latest catch pics thread, we would love to see them.
  22. One picture worthy fish today. Caught on a BFE in Hematoma off an old submerged pond dam with a tree on the dam. 4-10. Wife says I should pick a different hoodie, I just told her it must be lucky.
  23. I LOVE throwing a Spro Lil John MD in Old Fire Tiger in the Spring. Very effective bait for me.
  24. There are also some slight differences (at least with Shimano) in maybe spool size, knob size or handle size. Other than that, you wont notice a difference. I have probably ordered my last 20 reels from Japan. Great experience every time.
