Highly unlikely that they are fakes. I have no clue how some places can sell reels so cheap. Either there is a HUGE markup on them or they are content with just making a few bucks on what they sell. I have bought reels on there that after buying them I hoped they weren't hot, but I guess there is no way to know for sure. I certainly don't want to buy anything that was stolen, but I guess it could happen.

7-03 and 7-08 just 3 days apart, April 20th and April 23rd. First one on a green pumpkin red fleck baby brush hog and the second on a green pumpkin blue fleck baby brush hog.

I don't make new years resolutions because I believe it shouldn't take a special day to make a commitment. I stopped drinking on Sept 7th 2018 and that wasn't a special day. But I know people do make them, and after a couple days of organizing tackle, re-spooling reels, changing split rings and hook, etc. it dawned on me. I don't NEED any more fishing gear. It is my goal to not buy anything in 2021 fishing related that I don't need. I may have to buy new line but that should be about it (although I think I have plenty). I will be the first to admit that I LOVE buying new gear, but I think I have everything I need to be successful. Other than that, of course I need to lose weight, but that is a pipe dream.

You lost me there. You obviously have no idea what you are doing and you heard on the internet that tape has a negative effect. Tape will in no way make a difference one way or another.

Interesting topic. I pitched from the time I was old enough to start till I graduated high school. I dealt with arm problems from about the age of 14. My first year of college baseball all I did was pitch. It finally got to the point where I couldn't take it(the pain) any longer so I went to the Dr. I was told I had a torn biceps muscle. It was either surgery plus the rehab and try to pitch again or just give it up. There was no way I could afford the surgery and my parents couldn't afford it so I gave it up. It hurt for a while but eventually got better. It has never hurt too bad after fishing. I would say that if you can handle the pain then I wouldn't worry about it. Also, if you are learning to pitch, you can easily do it with your left arm.

This ^^^^^ If you go back and watch the BPT event on Fork from back in the Spring when they were spawning the anglers would show the official the hook was inside the mouth. It would be hard to tell if a fish was foul hooked intentionally with a jerkbait, especially all those dinks

I left mine in. I don't keep any fish but I will put some water in there so I can put them in it while getting everything ready for a picture. Sure does make them easier to grab and IMO causes them less stress while trying to grab them.

Asian Portal, I always compare their website to their auction site prices. They are low on inventory in a lot of reels right now.

Jigs and Texas Rigs, I would go with the Curado 70 MGL in your price range.

I have never have had to pay any import fees. I've probably ordered 25+ from Japan in the last 2 years or so.

I throw chatterbaits on 40lb braid, but I am throwing them on a 7'2 MH Glass Expride.

I'm sure people are tired of reading my responses and reasonings, so I will just give you a quick run down on what I would suggest. First and foremost, I have no idea what you plan to do with the reel and that would play a role in the order of what I would suggest. But as an all around reel, here goes. 1. Metanium 2020 - Top dog in my opinion and can be found right around $300 2. Bantam MGL - Probably the best value and all around reel and can be found for about $250 3. Curado 70 MGL - I have only had this reel about 2 weeks and I am blown away so far with it 4. Scorpion MGL/Curado 200K - These reels are very similar aside from the spool. I like the Scorpion better but the K is a fine reel 5. Chronarch MGL - A really nice reel but not nearly as impressive as the Bantam at the same price point or even a little more in some cases 6. SLX 70 MGL - Very solid reel that shouldn't be over looked for what they can be had for The search feature would probably give you enough reading information for a while

LOL, I have a package that is supposed to be delivered by UPS and this is the last update I have: The package was not ready at the time of the first pickup attempt. A second attempt will be made. I guess that little package said "I'm just not ready yet" and they agreed to try again later. Oh well, it's just a reel. No need getting upset over 1. something material and 2. something I cannot control.

I opt for higher speed reels in every situation outside of cranking med divers or swim baits and A rigs. I actually prefer 8 to 1 on most situations.
