What reel for throwing an A rig
I don't throw A-Rigs a lot, but I wanted a dedicated "slower" reel that would do the job. I also didn't want to spend a ton on the reel. I ended up with the Cardiff 200A. Pretty decent reel if you don't mind the size. If I had it to do over again, I might have went with the Tranx, I just couldn't justify the cost difference since I got the Cardiff for less than a hundred dollars.

What is the best lure for spring bass?
Maybe you should spend some time reading the forums and articles. Maybe even watch some youtube videos. There are some pretty vague questions that get asked here, but this one might take the cake.

How much is too much?
I take way too many, but they all have their own purpose (for the most part). I take 18 combos with me, but there are times where I only use 4 or 5 in a day. I keep 10 rigged up for soft plastics, 1 spinnerbait, 1 chatterbait, 1 swimbait, 1 jerkbait, 1 frog, 1 jig and 2 crankbait set-ups. This is what is on there 90% of the time at least. If I know I m going to be on a frog bite, I might get 3 combos ready with frogs the night before I go. I also may have a spinnerbait on my spinnerbait rod and tie one on my chatterbait rod if I am trying different sizes or colors. I don't mind re-tying and it doesn't take much time, I have just found that for my style of fishing I am a lot more apt to switch a technique or color if I can just lay a rod down and grab another one and keep fishing. There have also been times where they wanted the first thing I started with and I would just use one for that day.

Anyone Use A Lure Retriever?
I use the Frabill 15' lure retriever. That $40 item has probably saved me a few hundred dollars and I have only had it a few months.

Squarebill crankbait help
I ran into a similar problem when I fished ponds. I used a Lucky Craft 1.5 SSR, while not a squarebill by definition, they seemed to be they only thing I could keep out of the grass.

One reel purchase for the year...
I have an SLX MGL 70 as well and IMO the Curado is so much better. I can't describe it really. I use them both for light weight pitching and although they are on different sticks, I prefer to use the Curado.

Jika Rig or Tokyo Rig
My thoughts. They are both cheaper to make yourself as opposed to buy "pre-made". I have had luck with the Tokyo rig but IMO the Jika rig is replicable with a swinging jig head, which I love to throw.

One reel purchase for the year...
I am zero help on the Daiwa side of things, but I have owned my fair share of Shimano reels. The Scorpion MGL is an awesome reel. The only thing I would ask, is what you do plan to use it for? The reason I ask is because I would opt for the Curado 70 MGL if you will be using it for soft plastics or with lighter weight lures. If you are cranking with it or using it for spinnerbaits, chatterbaits, etc then I would get the Scorpion. The Curado 70 MGL is better at pitching and flipping in my opinion and the Scorpion is a better reel for long casts. That being said, I haven't used my Curado 70 MGL a lot for casting because I fell in love with it for working a soft plastic.

Tips on Buying NEW bass boats
Most and usually is absolutely wrong in this instance. I have financed 4 houses, more vehicles than I can remember and a boat. The lowest rate is ALWAYS on the shorter note. I am willing to bet everyone else has the same experience as me, aside from you.

Tips on Buying NEW bass boats
https://www.essexcredit.com/home/boat/rates/ This says boat rates also go up with term. I have NEVER heard of an interest rate getting lower as the term increases.

Tips on Buying NEW bass boats
Are you sure about this??? Usually a lender will give a lower rate on the shorter term note because they are not taking as big of a risk. My wife is in the market for a new vehicle and every lender we have talked to has had a lower interest rate on the shorter term note. Same goes with home loans as well.

Where does a bass “go” when you release it?
I don't know where they go when they are released, but when I fished tournaments I always just fished the ramp area where the tournaments were held since I figured that's where they release them so there had to bass there at some point. LOL Just kidding of course.

Greatest tournament angler ever?
One of the reasons the debates over "all time greatest" in any sport usually doesn't amount to much is because everyone has their reasons for why they think the way they do and they get upset when someone disagrees with them. There is no right or wrong and everyone has made valid points. At the end of the day, it really doesn't matter in the grand scheme of things because it is all opinions and nothing more. There doesn't have to be a greatest ever, but there are certainly a lot of great ones, I think everyone would agree on that.

Line for kvd 1.5 squarebills
I have 2 different rods that I will use for squarebills. Open water over rocks or grass I am throwing 12# Invisx, around cover such as wood I am throwing 15# Tatsu.

Looking for some expert advice.
There are a bunch of "cheap" ones on Amazon. https://www.amazon.com/3-5-hp-outboard-motor/s?k=3.5+hp+outboard+motor

Pre-Rigging
Not really, I keep most of them in the rod locker. I am OCD and if I have more than 5 out at a time I will have a breakdown. LOL

Looking for some rod recommendations
Correct, I am an idiot sometimes. I use 12lb Elite and 40lb 832. My mother would be embarrassed to read some of my mistakes.

SCORE! major upgrade!
IMO the Bantam is a MUCH better reel than the Chronarch MGL. If you could swing the 20 Met, I would get it over the Bantam.
