Every day carry knife...
I carry a Benchmade Mini Grip or Ontario RAT D2 in my back pocket every where I go. I have a fixed blade custom that I keep in my console.

6'8" MH Shimano Expride Casting Rod?
I actually no longer have the rod. I found that I prefer a 7' + rod for those type baits. I tried a lipless on it and a spinnerbait and I didn't feel like it was suited for those either. I probably should have spent more time with it but it really just seemed too short for most of what I wanted to do with it.

Protect your boat - Mooring/dock tying in waves
Sometimes I leave the lake to go get lunch or something, I just pull the boat out and take it with me. I fail to see how it is that much effort. IMO, that is the only way to know 100% it is safe.

ultrex pig tail question.
It is not necessary, but you certainly can make it whatever length you would prefer. I cut a few inches off of mine just because I thought it was a little bit long to work right with the TH Marine troll jacket. Edit* I apologize, I did not run it through the troll jacket, but I did shorten it because it was too long and made the troll jacket not lay correctly. After I typed that I had to re-think it and then I went out and checked it.

6th Sense Provoke 106X Feedback + Jerkbait Selection 'System'
I know @A-Jay can help you out here. I think he likes a perch pattern for SM, but I am not 100% on that. Maybe he will chime in, he knows a thing or 200 about those brown bass.

President's Day Sales?
Have you tried calling TW and asking? That might get you an answer.

What scents do you for putting on your plastics and jigs?
Yep, I bought some to use last year. March and April it worked great. One day in May or so I opened it up and commenced to pour it all out on the carpet. LOL

Rod recommendation
That is asking a lot from one rod. I have the Zodias in 7' MH, 7'2 MH, 7'2 H and the Expride in 7'2 MH, 7'2 H and 7'3 XH. I would go Expride all day. For the range you are looking for (assuming most of it will be open water) I would go with the 7'2 H.

Lure weight
Well, this is a new question. https://www.bassresource.com/bass-fishing-forums/search/?q=lure weight&updated_after=any&sortby=relevancy&search_in=titles Sometimes I think Ashton Kutcher is hiding somewhere to tell us we just got Punkd'

Way off-topic. A cooking discussion?
What's the best way to catch those Moles to be able to use their a$$es?

Soft plastics weight
I apologize, I know an easy way to avoid this in the future.
-
You ever just undress and dive for your lost lure?
Nope. I have lost a few MB 110's and never once did going in after one cross my mind. I won't be throwing a Roman Made or anything like that, so I guess I don't have to think about too much.

Soft plastics weight
What are you even talking about??? The OP (that means the person who started the thread) was asking about the weight because he was concerned the total weight would be too heavy for his rod to handle. The OP (once again, the person who started the thread) never even mentioned the .81 oz, someone else did. The original question had NOTHING to do with ROF. I know you are much smarter than everyone else here and you feel the need to give us examples of how smart you are, but in this particular thread it is not needed.

Bobber Stopper on Texas Rig why?
I ordered some off the auction site one time. I ordered a 100 ct, or so the listing said. It was actually a 100 ct of 5 per, so I got 500. I have since switched to a rubber peg though.
-
Bobber Stopper on Texas Rig why?
He didn't say "can't" he said less likely. I fish a lot of timber and I always peg my weight to make it easier to come through the branches and sticks. You would think a jig would be a terrible thing if bass were wary of feeling the weight when they bite.

Soft plastics weight
Which is EXACTLY what he is asking about.

Is iPilot and Pinpoint GPS independent of GPS/Fishfinder
The Terrova has a foot pedal, but you could just use the remote if you would like.
-
Soft plastics weight
Nobody mentioned ROF. The OP is worried about total lure weight as it relates to a "generic" rod rating weight. IMO, it matters very little, but I try not to over think things.

The Road To The Super Bowl 2021
Unfortunately, there have been a lot of bad Super Bowls. Kind of like CFB National Champ games. We always want to see the 2 best go head to head, then someone lays an egg.

The Road To The Super Bowl 2021
I agree, but this should put any arguments to bed.

Never have I ever....
We can try it. That box has a total of maybe 45 min in the water.

Which knob style do you generally prefer on a spinning reel?
I hope you aren't going to use this thread as "advice" on what you should get because as you can already tell, there will be no consensus. Put me down for the T knob though, if you are keeping score.
