I think if Neal finds some fish off-shore early tomorrow, him and Thrift might have a shoot out.

He was throwing a jerkbait and found like 4 fish on a brush pile. Caught 2 3lbers in the last 7 min.

Michael Neal likes to wait till the end to go ahead and make the cut.

When looking for something a little lighter than 15 to throw cranks on I went with some 12lb Invizx and I agree it is really good line.

I use 15lb Tatsu on one of my jig rods on a MH in moderate cover and I went with 20lb Shooter on my H rod for Heavy cover. I just added that H rod in December so I haven't had time on the water with it yet.

Least he didn't have a beer, that would really have set some off.

All it would take is a couple good bites at this point.

I'm not a spinning reel guru, but if you are just vertical fishing it should be fine.

This one!!!! For so many reasons.

When I was a kid there were candy cigs and big league chew. Never smoked or chewed. Seems as though some parents these days are looking to "blame" others for when their kid messes up. EDIT* There were Playboy's as well, despite the warnings, never had any hair grow on my palms.

I have thought about it some more, I have another thing that I don't care for (not that it matters, LOL). I don't like how 10 will fish tomorrow and 10 will fish Thursday and then they will take the top 5 from each day and they will fish the final on Friday. Why not just have the 20 anglers fish both days and have the top 10 fish on Friday? I think the guys that fish Thursday could have a possible advantage as to locating fish. Just my opinion though.

I prefer to choose my line by size and not "pound test". I like to stay right around .014" or about .34-.36mm depending on how they label it. That would just be for general "all around" fishing. EDIT* I should have added, right now I am using Sufix Elite in 12lb which comes in at .014" but I have also used Sunline Super Natural in 16lb which is .013"

Where to start? First, I try to imitate a craw when the water starts to warm, this is more "pre-spawn" when they are starting to move shallow and feeding up. Reds, browns, yellow, etc. Lipless, squarebill, jig, chatterbait, etc. Once I feel like they have officially made the move to shallow water and are prepping beds and holding in place I will slow my presentation with soft plastics like creature baits, craws, tubes, etc. I will still use search baits, but one I locate a fish or two I will work that area a little longer than I would have previously. Lot of opinions on the subject. Some really good anglers on here. Pick and choose what information will work best for you.

I don't particularly like when guys are so far ahead that they know they are already on to the next round so they "quit" fishing. But much like in any other sport, when you have a substantial lead you can let off the gas. There is a lot of boring football in the 4th quarter when one team is up 45-7. It never has been real exciting to watch the guys at the top on these elimination days, but as was alluded to already, it is that cut line (in this case the TORO cut line) that makes it exciting. I do hope the bite picks up and we see a slug fest on Friday.

Get 2 Shimano SLX combos. A M and a MH. Throw some mono on the M and some braid on the MH and add a leader as needed. Bout as simple as I can put it. LOL

It wouldn't matter, people would still have to throw an opinion in that wasn't even an option. Then they would complain because it wasn't an option. It's that way on every forum, ask a simple A or B question and half the people will say, neither it's C. LOL
