Transfering Line From A Spool To Another Spool
Long story short, I damaged a spool shaft and ordered a new spool. Can I transfer the 15lb floro I have on my damaged spool onto my new spool? Bad idea? good idea?

Abu Garcia Icast 2013 News...
So, I will be the first one to admit that I boycotted Abu Garcia, but when I saw that they are releasing their JDM reels in North America, I might have a change of mind. http://www.tackletour.com/reviewicast13abugarcialowjdm.html

Suggest A New Sub-$100 Baitcasting Reel

Does Getting Skunked Bother You?

Icast 2013
Abu has really been throwing down for the last year or two, but d**n there quality control is JUNK

Swivel/snap
Look up Norman speed clips, that should solve everything.

Koppers Live Target Bait Ball Crankbaits
I use there lures exclusively besides using a few Strike King lures, for me they catch fish by the ton.

Your Crankbait Preference?
KVD Squarebills all sizes, I only use 2 colors - Sexy Shad or Black Back Chart

Icast 2013
The Orra is very intriguing, Around $100, 11BB and dual braking? not bad in my books, but $10 says its gonna be heavy

Who Uses A Snap To Connect Your Crankbait
I never take the split rings off, just put the Norman speed clip right onto the split ring, no problems there.

Difference In Lengths Of Rods?
Longer rods also have more leverage for pulling fish out of cover or setting in big treble hooks

Rod Building, Changing Color On A Blank
Would Krylon Fusion work on a rod blank? If not what kind of paint should I use? Do I have to prep the blank? Sand off the gloss? Get oils off? If I need to sand, what grit?

Silly Affordable Lures That Work
I don't think the price of a lure makes a difference, its confidence in a bait that does. Whether its a $5.99 KVD Square Bill or a $21.99 Megabass Kunckle they pretty much do the same job and have more or less the same action, some people just get more confidence when things cost more money.

Another Gen3 Revo Winch Problem... Again
Abu really pooped the bed on the new revo.

Another Gen3 Revo Winch Problem... Again
Either way, I fell for the new Revo marketing hype and now I will never buy an Abu product ever again. lol edited out the spelling, its getting late

Another Gen3 Revo Winch Problem... Again
I took the retainer off to see how the brake shoes work, all it is was 6 orange plastic brake shoes with notches sticking out each side that clip into a plastic housing with 2 positions for the notches to sit in, as well as the springs that go inside the brake shoes, they all looked the same with no wear. But I think I solved the problem, I just took out 4 of the 6 shoes and springs and put the retainer cap back onto it and whamo no problems. Talk about back yard mechanics lol

Another Gen3 Revo Winch Problem... Again
The shaft is fine, its just the spool shaft pin is slightly bent. I tried taking it out using a "home made tool". I ordered the Boca Bearing tool and replacement pins... just waiting now for it to come in the mail. And no, the spool shaft goes all the way through to the tension cap.

Another Gen3 Revo Winch Problem... Again
So now one of my winches has another problem. I usually have two of the 6 centrifugal brakes engaged and the mag brakes are completely off. Now when I cast, about half way into the cast I hear a squeak and one or two random centrifugal brakes will just engage on there own. My spool shaft pin is bent, would that have any effect on it?
