  1. Abu has to many rod quality issues.. I'd go with the crucial
  2. I just picked up a chronarch ci4, it is pretty sweet... I also own a 3rd gen revo sx,stx and mgx... My stx is like butter compared to the sx, it's much smoother... Maybe your stx needs the bearings oiled... I can't wait to get out and use the ci4 and see how smooth it is
  3. Think your in the wrong section lol
  4. Your not to far from me.... I love fishing that creek... I usually fish it around kemps mill and have caught some NICE smallie there...
  5. Yea I ordered the day before lol. They're gonna price match it and give me a gift card
  6. Hell I orded one Friday then they put it on sale sat.. Had to call them to get a price match lol
  7. It's funny this is the combo I was thinking about, and yesterday I was watching facts of fishing with Dave mercer and the episode was on pond fishing ... He used that exact combo and actually caught most his fish on it lol
  8. Well I ordered a chronarch ci4 HG today and a 7'2" cumara mh/f worm an jig rod from TW ... Should be here Monday
  9. I had a Dobyns savvy micro, it was ok... But I hear the champions are a lot nicer
  10. I have heard that.. But I'm not really looking to go used
  11. Thanks, I've tried searching for info on this but can't seem to find much on the newer ones. Sensitive is really what I'm after.. I don't think anyone really stocks these around me that I could check them out..
  12. It's starts this weekend ,don't forget guys
  13. I'm thinking about picking up a new chronarch ci4 and a rod to go with it.. Looking at a 7'2" worm n jig rod... Is the cumara really worth the extra dough VS the crucial? Money isn't really an issue just looking for an honest opinion
  14. ive been debating using line like this, ive always used mono for everything and have been thinking of stepping up to better line for some things... ive only been getting more into bass fishing the past 2-3 years.. i may try this on a few rods to see how i like it
  15. about the same here.. i went to a local creek after i got my license just to feel like i accomplished something lol
  16. there musta been something wrong with it then, ive used several diff reels and have a few diff revo's and you can tell a clear diff in the MGX, not saying its way better than the new chronarch , but i really think alot of people on this forum try to put shimano on to high a pedestal compared to other products
  17. have you even used a MGX? that reel is amazing..
  18. ive used a few different brand of mono, i prefer trilene XL .. its casts smoother and farther than some others i have tried.. I do wanna try the new trilene XT since they redesigned it
  19. you can always pick up a medium action rod for the other reel and use it for some cranks/jerkbaits, and use the MH for bottom fishing and heavier cranking etc... you should be fine with 10lb mono around here.. i use berkley trilene and have had no issues around here..
  20. i have a few diff gen 3's and love them all... sx,stx and mgx
  21. Im from hagerstown also, ive found deals like this at our dicks... i think if it were me i wouldve picked up the curado instead, much nicer reel.. pair it up with a 7" MH rod and you have a nice all around setup.. Also i dunno if you know or not there is a big fishing flea market at the ag center this weekend, being put on by a local bassmaster chapter....
  22. i got the same deal during the summer last year on that reel..
