  1. i picked up a lamiglas excel casting rod for the wife last year, she liked the look of carrot sticks, but theyre junk and i came across the excel.. its been a very nice rod IMO.. we've caught several nice fish on it and had no issues.. only thing i dont care for is the hook keeper on the handle
  2. there is a mobile iphone app for the event
  3. it would be nice if they had all of them at one point in the same day, i see twords the end there a coldwater jerkbait class
  4. http://www.greatamericanoutdoorshow.org/ Just found out about this show coming up , looks like they are gonna have some good bass fishing seminars with roland martin and a few other pro's
  5. the annual cabin creek bassmaster show near hagerstown MD is coming up soon, according to the ag center website its the 17-19.. its a decent flea market ...
  6. thats last year lol
  7. i have my MGX on the same rod and my STX on the Medium version.. Amazing rods for the money, i actually sold my more expensive rods for the *** black omens, they are MUCH better rods IMO
  8. i sold my savvy micro and picked up a *** *** black, less money and much nicer rod IMO ... reviews have even back that up
  9. STX is a great reel, i have one.. saw a few in the forsale section
  10. i use 2 centrifugal on and on the magnetic i do 2-3 clicks on for most baits.. never have any issues.... i would suggest putting a drop of the oil it comes with on each of the bearings.... I do also own a MGX and there is a noticeable difference in that from the STX, if its a $150 difference i dunno.. def feels nicer... i picked it up from a kid on one of these forums for $200 , he had never used it lol
  11. stx.. i have a new SX,STX and MGX ... the STX is much nicer and smoother than the sx.. and casts farther...i can cast alot lighter baits on the stx also...im actually gonna seen if i can use a stx spool and fit the brake on the sx cover and convert it to a stx in a sx body..
  12. we need to move up there lol
  13. i have the gen 3 stx and love it, casts far and very smooth.. i read alot of people not liking the braking system on the premier , but ive never used it so i cant speak from experience
  14. i use mono for everything, i havent made the jump to trying different lines yet..
  15. ahh ok , i wasnt sure how it worked for you... i was gonna call you but didnt get a chance to this weekend.. thought you might have a bunch of free time lol
  16. aren't you on vacation? lol
  17. most popular $100 rod right now is the *** ***... love mine
  18. every review i read said the *** had great sensitivity, better than some more expensive rods
  19. id say 3lbs or alittle over
  20. i just picked up 2 new rods that some women may like, the *** *** black rods are very light and the grips are a bit smaller than most other rods, I myself dont have particularly large hands, my hand are more wide than long.. i like the way these feel in hand VS other brands.. and theyre not that expensive compared to most other nicer brands of rods... these things reviewed better than alot of more expensive rods too..
  21. im pretty sure that one is still open, i heard its owned by the town.. I guess theyll have fort frederick closed too so no big pool etc either
  22. not quite sure why your comparing those 2 unless you can get a killer deal on the stx, i have a 3rd gen stx and a lews bb1..i love both reels.. youd have a better comparison with the lews tournament pro vs the stx...
