If you are fishing 30' then braid and a flouro leader is a must. I use a 3/8-1/2 sinker. I tie up a bunch at home so re-rigging is faster.

I should have put a smiley after my statement as I was being sarcastic True Roboworms' colors are awesome and I do believe that color has more influance on the Angler's confidence which is huge.

Selling Soft plastics is tough these days. Too competitive. We all pretty much use the same molds. Some guys sell so cheap they are pretty much working for free. Add up your expenses and time and the $5-10 per hour you make is just not worth it to me. As far as special orders, payment in advance. And I would not order a speacial mold with out a contract for quantity made.

IMO the Xcalibur one knockers rule. However they are discontinued and $10-20 each now. Booyah took them over and now make the exact same on as the Xcal. Price is not bad either. For deeper fishing the LC LV500 3/4 oz is great because of ist small size. For your application though give the old inexpensive Cordell Spot a try. It works best in more shallow water. Might even find some in the dollar bin at Wallymart.

This should be in the Luremaking section. Predator has the best quality blanks at around $2 each. Stay away from Avid as he has not fullfilled orders for many, including me. Cedar run has ok blanks for $1 Lurecraft Get bit Dinger Shelts

Plastic is not a huge expense in bait making. Not worth it to remelt. Can be a nightmare as some plastics dont play nice together and most absorb moisture and bubble up. The mold and labor are the biggest expenses.

Find a custom bait maker to inject you some 6" "trick" worms with their sinking stickbait formula plastic.

You can safely shave 1/8" off a DT14 and it will go about 2' shallower. As said earlier I would raise or lower the rod tip to dial in specific depths. I have never found a deep crank that runs near what it claims unless trolled. I would suspect with the heavy mono you are using they will go significantly shallower than specified.

Thanks. Not allowed to sell here Actually I am legally blind and it can be tough for me. These baits are imaged, which means I use a water slide decal that I make in photoshop and print on my printer. Some decals are colored and put over a solid white or pearl base coat. Others I airbrush the bait the underlying colors I want and put a black and white decal over it for the detail. Then add the eyes and epoxy clear. All decals are very transparent tho and printers cant print white.
