  1. If Di is important to you than get a HB Helix. Garmin with either CV or GT transducers is pretty poor.
  2. 2d chirp is very good and Panoptix is amazing. Garmin's Si and Di are garbage
  3. Craws and Jig/craws work everywhere.
  4. Yes Allen that was the guy. Someone else offered them too tho. Found it. This was the other guy thas WAS sellin them http://xcitebaits.com/
  5. Guy on TackleUnderground used to sell "runner" from production runs by the pound I believe. Was a while ago tho. I would ask there.
  6. You asked your question in the wrong section. You will get more answers in the Fishing Tackle forum. Many people "Walk the Dog retrieve" with hollow body frogs. Google that or check YouTube. Braid floats and Flouro sinks slowly. So in shallow water a 6' flouro leader will help get your bait down, but straight flouro might be better in deeper water.
  7. Thanks, I will fiddle with it some more.
  8. I have a bunch of Curado and Chronarch 101's. Decided to try an Assassin. I dont care for it. Very hard for me to set up with all the adjustments. Maybe it;s me but doesnt cast very far (1/2 oz cranks/jerkbaits). I think it would be very difficult for a beginner to set up.I'll stick with a used Shimano for same price.
  9. I forget what size is what on them but the very small size (1.5"???) stinks like you say.
  10. If you use a flouro leader, make sure its heavy enough. Since a leader is short, you can snap it on a hard hookset
  11. Lc 1.5 is great. SK1.5 and H2O CRS are cheaper alternatives. The Baker is a great alternative especially in cold water since they suspend. Good colors on these too but the paint chips easily.
  12. That Duo looks good. I currently use and all work well Staysee 100dd KVD 110+1 River2sea Jerk shad D78 D88 I have a Rogue Top 20 but never tried it.
  13. So I use Lucky Craft Staysee and Pointer 100DD successfully as deep suspending jerkbaits and now found there is a 100XD that goes even deeper. Supposed to go 12' but I guess 10' is more realistic. I grabbed one to try. Is this new or I just been under a rock and never noticed it?
  14. I like The Binsky best but they aint cheap and you will lose a bunch. Best deal on a very good lure is the Silver Buddy knockoffs on ebay. Usually like 10 for $10. Just add your own hooks and clip Something like these that are made in the US with the Do-it mold. The Chinese ones are garbage. https://www.ebay.com/itm/Qty-of-10-3-4-oz-Silver-Nickel-Body-Blade-Baits-Unfinished-Bait/263306815610?hash=item3d4e4f287a:g:zE4AAOSwzrxUrJfR
  15. Wish I still had my 67 RS/SS 396/325 four speed
  16. I also found onr but mine was trashed. I repainted it (hobby only) and it's a great walking bait.
  17. I use tap water to thin. Some colors are thicker than others. Some brands are thicker than others. White and black being the worst. Pearls are thick too. Add about 1 drop water per 4 drops color. What PSI are you shooting? Use at least 30 while learning Disassemble gun after each use (not color) and clean well especially the nozzle and needle.
  18. Cadman makes these for me and they work great. 1/8 and #1 Mustad hook. Hook up percentage is really good. They do not hold plastic on the best and you cant use elastec baits with that style keeper. I never tried glue but will. The whole mushroom head deal is BS to me. So are these new Zmzn heads for elastek? I have no idea how anyone can fish a non weedless/snagless head
  19. Gamakatsu® Wicked Wacky Weedless Hook Smallest is 1/0 tho which really is a lil large and obnoxious. Dropper line goes through the tube and hook always stands out and no tangle. Smaller company made these in smaller saizes years ago but I can figure out who they were.
  20. Never, but I dont throw them either
  21. Soft plastic. Ned, tube, lizard. Treat it like bed fishing
  22. Every company creates their own names for a certain color. Many catchy names as of late than the old standards. Used to be Black watermelon (green) Green pumpkin (green with brown added) pumpkin (tanish brown) Grape (purple) Red Now they add different color flake or two or three color laminates (Roboworm) "candy" and "magic" are different flakes added to a base "seed" is black flake added Red bug is red with red and green flike Red shad is a red and black laminate Okechobee craw is green pumkinn back and orange belly. I can go on for days. I dont know of any chart somewhere that explains this. Maybe on a bait making site.
  23. Hooked into a nice one with a Ned rig off my dock at Lake Monticello yesterday. One jump and it was gone. When I reeled in, all that I had was the weight and the worm. The hook had snapped off. It appeared to have broken where the barb to hold the worm on had been soldered to the shaft of the hook. The area also looked rusty. Anyone with a similar experience? They were Z-Man brand head and TRD bought from Tackle Warehouse.
  24. I dont use Createx black but their opaque white is thick and terrible. I switched to Golden's titanium white and it is great Wicked is made by Createx
