Why was it easier to paddle backward into the wind?
I dont know why but that made me laugh pretty hard. Funny word I guess

If you only have to buy one lb test braid for all your combos what lb test it will be?
40 lb test would get the most work from me, so I'd go with 40. I typically dont use less than 30 on casting gear anyway. I'm slowly getting away from using all braid anyway. Starting to incorporate more set ups with straight floro

What are your top three fluorocarbon lines and the worst?
Vanish is the worst. Period.

Jigs and mismatched trailers
I dont get crazy with it...but nothing wrong with mixing it up. I do like a white or smoky color paddle tail or grub, with a traditional color like brown or green pumpkin. A sapphire blue trailer with a black jig is money too. I throw a green pumpkin paca craw on my anything lol. I let the fish tell me what they want, I do like to match them up too...

The best combo for lipless crankbaits
Good video. Personally. I like a MH for rattle traps. But I deal with alot of vegetation. But if I'm throwing little ones, I'll go with a M.

“Fast” vs “Slow” fishing
@TnRiver46 recently i told a story of how I got hooked on spinnerbaits...i was reeling fast. Personally, that the trick for me a lot of the times, I use a small, compact but heavy spinner bait in the shallow mid depths, with a quick retrieve and alot of the times it triggers a bite. Same thing with underspins, swim jigs, and plastic swimbaits. Diesnt work all the time but if you can make a long cast or a very quiet entry its deadly. Rick Clunn spoke at lengths about this years after I figured it out. I was like "dang why didnt I hear this a decade ago, I had to figure it out the hard way"

“Fast” vs “Slow” fishing
Nah, sounds like you are on the page I'm on. There is no standard. The more you fish, you will get an idea of what works. With that said, if you are not getting bit, you got mix it up until you figure it out. Caveat to that is, making sure you are on the fish first...

Build me a jig/tx rig
Give mike @Delaware Valley Tackle a call. I googled his website...called him and he made my custom crank rod. God person to deal with. Also check with @.ghoti.

Build me a jig/tx rig
Well, if that's the case get your hands on a GLX or NRX. 7foot or 7'1 4 power rod(heavy) and get a7:1 reel with the rest of your budget.

Build me a jig/tx rig
Gonna get a lot of subjective responses. If you arent fishing in a lot of cover a MH will do the trick. A 7.3 ratio reel will be fine. But you could use a 8:1 if that's your preference. 700 to 1000 is a good budget for the combo, giving you alot of wiggle room for a strong sensitive rod. You can't go wrong in the 300 to 450 range for rods. Same can be said for the 250 to 400 range for reels. You can def get by with lower cost options. If you wana ere on the side of saving a few bucks, you cant go wrong with Expride, Orochi XX, tatula elite, dobyns champ as far as rods. Reels, tatula sv tw, currado k, bantam, I recently bought a used CONQUEST rod for 500 and I'm leaning toward a bantam mgl. Total of little more than 850. I def think u can get a good combo for under 600.

Kayak people. How many rods do you bring?
Amen. Although I typically carry 4. I've done it with 2 or 3 several times. Last time I took 2, I took a 7'1 heavy tatula and 7'M OG tatula spinning rod. Definitely makes you simplify what you do.

Brown craw vs spring craw (yellow) cranks
Yes on a lake near me, it almost always has tannic water. I remember as a kid, my older brother would swim with his shirt on.. later that day his shirt was always a light cream color from the water.. when I fish that lake I lean on those browns/yellows. I blends pretty good and it flat catches the fish when they are on the moving bait bite. I have SEVERAL Arashi 2.5 in the yellow/copper brownish pattern. They are absolute fire.

Dobyns rod true purpose.
You get an A for ingenuity.

Kayak people. How many rods do you bring?
4 rods. Because I'm so used to taking alot more than that in the boat, I had to have real conversation with my self about what the core 4 would be. I had to be less specific with the rods and more universal. 1 - 7' M spinning rod, 1- 7' mh, 1 -7'3 heavy frog rod, (I use for everything heavy like jigs to frogs and ploppers) and 1 shorter rod, sometimes I take the 6'3 M Tatula, sometimes the 683 Endurance.

How much is too much?
I have 23 at last count (not counting my last 2 new rods) In the boat carry 10, kayak I carry 4. They all have their own place
