  1. Saame here, i carry two more of the standard pfd from bass pro along with a pfd for my two yr old. Maybe i should have been clear... i also keep the cheap old orangenpfd in my pond boat.
  2. I like SW Stealth. For me its in the same class as PP. I used Stealth for a long time before buying Spider Wire Ultra cast. Stealth is a good strong line. It casts easy and is pretty quiet. I have one reel spooled with Stealth now.
  3. That is horrible. Sorry to hear that. Your are right. Someone is lying. Suggestion, go to doctors office, speak to said doctor and you guys call insurance co and put on speaker. Figure out who is the lier and the solution. If hes not willing to do that, hes probably full of crap. Good luck
  4. Ugly Stick Lite!! .....just kidding... Powell Max rods are pretty dang sensitive, but i havent tried everything out there... most of my rods bought in the past 3 years retail a bit more than that ...of course i try not to pay retail...
  5. Stained to stained/murkey, 46-49 degrees, lake level is around 302. Water is up in the bushes a little. If you can find clear(er) water, jerk bait or drop shot Otherwise, traps, spinner baits, crankbaits, chatterbait, and jigs.
  6. What was your line and lure set up when u tested the rod.
  7. How deep is the water you are fishing? I have a hard time maintaining bottom contact with 1/4 oz and it can be hard with 1/2 if it is deep and the is a decent current... I agree with the suggestion for a 7-7'6 MH rod (especially for stuff under 5/8) I use a 7'6 H ex fast. But I mostly use 1oz and 3/4.
  8. A shorter/lighter rod to start with until you get good at it. A 6'6M fast is perfect for 1/4-3/8. I can skip with just about anything now, but i still use a 6'6M for 1/4 and 3/8.
  9. Powell 723 7'2MH - if the cover is not too thick, ill use it for soft plastic frogs 30# braid Powell 725 7'2H my regular frog rod for hollow body frogs and heavier topwaters 50# braid.

Spinnerbait box on the boat. Two 3700 boxes full in the shop. Normally, i just take what i know im going to want on the boat, for that particular day or time oof year. The rest stay home in the 3700
  11. Insurance, lawyers, and yuppies going the cheap way out..... i think i need to vomit. Good luck dude. Hate that happened. A Jay was right, let your ins. Co do all the hard work. Attorney is also a good idea.
  12. Mustang auto/manuel. Low profile, light, can wear all day and not know its there. I dont always wear it on the bass boat, but when im on the river on my jon boat it is a must.
  13. I like it the way it is. A little simpler. And the search tool is awesome.
  14. Ive tried and tried but can not catch anything on the salamander, i can throw the rage lizard right behind it and hook one. Had a bag of the might bugs... not a bad lure. But there are other similar baits that i have more confidence in
  15. Im with capt Bob, go with the Tournament SS. You can go on E bay and get it for the retail price of the MG. And if you wana add 30 bucks to what you want to spend on the retail price of the MG, you can go on E bay and get a Tourny Pro for 155. (Retail 200) MG is a good reel, but my thoughts are if you can get the tournment for the same price...then why not
  16. The more i think about it, personally, i could live with the seats like that for a while and would make sure money is spent to correct the guages, have outboard gone through by mechanic, and replace electronic units. Id much rather have good electronics than new seats
  17. If they do not work or are outdated, remove them. Tape and pull works great if they are loose. Personally, i would replace BOTH of them. If your not sure, maybe you have a buddy thats done it before. If not your marine mechanic can make suggestions or do it.
  18. I know it can happen to anybody... but what a dope. I do give him big props for being man and removing that hook. I probably would have went to the hospital with the lure hanging from my mouth.
  19. I think you did good. I would use the left over loan money to go ahead make the repairs, replace the seats and get a couple of good fishfinders/gps...(or one good one) It looks good. Take it to your marine mechanic and have him go through it first and foremost.
  20. I dont do it very often, but i do use the BPS enticer jig heads. Megastrike has the Shakey2 that i want to try. I use weighted swimbait hooks for creatures too.
  21. For an old boat, that one appears to be great. The amount of info provided shows that the owner was very meticulous with it.
  22. As a Carolina fan, we went through the same thing with Jake Delhomme after the 08 season, jake got us in the the play offs and then threw 5 picks and a fumble to the cardinals. Jake was obviously at the end of his career. Two months later, the Panthers Extend him and end up giving him 12mil for a disaterous 09 season and then cut him and had to pay him 10mil more... So i definitley feel bad for you Dallas guys, but on the flip side, Romo has alot more talent than Delhomme...i think Romo CAN be great....hes def got potential...but how long is it going to take for Jerry to get him enough help...
  23. I got a bunch of them in green pumpkin... they are good on smaller or finesse type jigs.
