Check Out My Deep Crank/football Jig Rig
My thoughts too. However, it WILL WORK. It is a graphite rod with a fast tip so you just need to keep in mind to not rip the hooks out.. and give the fish a second to take the bait. I did it for a while before i actually got crankin rods with a slower taper. Love the reel you put on it. Its a tank

How Many Times Have You Taken A Hook To The Body
Ive been lucky other than poking a finger when removing a hook ive never had any crazy hook up with body parts. However, on two separate occasions, i have missed on setting the hook while flipping at least an ounce weight. One occasion i chipped the paint on my boat just below my feet and the other time, i took a tungsten weight to the face/sunglasses.

Spinning Reel For A 7' Ml/f Crucial Suggestions
I used the old Abu cardinals (30-40 dollar reel) for almost a decade and recently bought a stradic...boy oh boy ...im not ever looking back. The stradic is amazing and the difference is assounding. To the OP, the Saros and the Symetre are probably what your looking for with your budget. Check out E bay i wouldnt be surprised if you found a Saros 2500. For a little over a 100.. i found my stradic on ebay for 135

What Line To Start The Year With?
Ive already started "MY" year back in January, but typically will try to use the same line all season. I use braid mostly and will use fluoro this year on cranking rods and mono on topwater/jerk rod. Ill probably end up respooling the mono in a couple months. Not because it will necessarily need it, but i am anal about my line and knots and i do not mind changing out mono because generally it is inexpensive anyway....and its only one reel. The rods with fluoro ill keep an eye on but hopefully i wont have to reload. It does tend to last alot longer than mono. But i cut and retie often when i see knicks or good amount of abrasion in the line. The braided line will last all year. Braid - Spiderwire UltraCast in 30# and 50. Spiderwire stealth 65 on a rig/ swimbait rod. Fluoro -Sunline Sniper 12 and 16. I also have 14 and 20 that i keep around for leaders Mono- Sunline Super Natural 10#. I have alot of Exel and Big game that i keep on the boat for leaders in different diameteres.

Going To Purchase A New Boat.
Thats a VERY good price on that express. People around here are selling their used G3 and Express boats for a couple grand more than that one...its extremely hard to find a steal on an Express Boat down in NC. ....we have cheap trackers everywhere tho.. When i had researched and found that one for him yesterday, i had the feeling that this was a "first boat" Thats why i tried looking for a newer Aluminum boat. Theres going to be some bumps and hic cups as being a new boater and boat owner, so why not utililize a metal boat, smaller more economical engine, and less potential problems with the vessle it self while you are still learning to use it and MAINTAIN IT. And that Xpress already has a Nice trolling motor and Nice electronics Its just really hard sometimes to find a REALLY NICE fiberglass bassboat with that budget. i did it, Jbsoonerfan did it as well as several of you guys... My suggestion is hold on to your loan money, add a much to it as you can and keep looking.

A Guy Posts An Item For Sale...
Or maybe the "buddy" thought the seller was going to "give it away" or give him the "buddy discount" and just didnt have his money right. Ive tried to sell stuff to friends before and have had to put it on the internet to sell it for the that same reason...or they wanted me to wait two weeks or longer so they can get their money right..in some cases ill wait in others i could not wait. Who knows what the reasons are.... But if i say i will sell you something, i generally give a timeline to pay me and if not met, ill notify and ask if they can pay me immediatly and if not, ill move on.

Going For Broke!
I wish you luck!! I hope yall catch some whoppers! Please report back after your competition, Ive been wanting to try the Oakley Big Bass Tourneys. It would be interesting to have your input on how its run, how you like the format, some of the challenges versus a reg tournament, and any other opinions or input. Not familiar with that lake, but a big jig and your favorite trailer have always been big bass catchers for me on any lake.
