one of my best baits this past year was a 9" netbait super tmac worm (green pumpkin). i bought some 7" as well to try now that it's colder. the warmer weather certainly suits me better for the bigger worms. this time of year though, i opt for a jig (finesse or football) over the worm anyways.

not a buy exactly, but i bought two daiwa reels (lexa and exceler) here in the flea market (with upgraded bearings) for a solid price. they were nice reels, but then a trade came along that allowed me to trade them both for 2 nearly new curado 51e's. HAPPY CAMPER for sure!

ascends are solid yaks that will certainly get you off the bank for cheaper than others. i had a fs10 that i started out with, but after a couple years i upgraded to a wilderness ride 135. the sit on top is a huge difference. after 2 years of pretty solid abuse, the kayak was in great shape and the only thing that was a small issue was the strap fixture broke on the seat (which i easily rigged up a quick fix). all in all, they are really solid yaks. however, if you can afford it and can wait it out, i would be ALL OVER craigslist right now. tons of people offload them this time of year and you can find a solid deal.

as a longtime NC resident first in Western NC and then in Charlotte from '02-'13 i would say that's a tough decision. i LOVE NC, but man what i wouldn't give to live out West. i say figure out a way to spend 2 solid weeks with your old man and try it out. i now live in Atlanta and what i wouldn't give to be back in Charlotte........

aside for you, the national account manager, saying it is a different company, how is it really different? same logo, same copyright (1996-2014), using the 2007 iCast awards as a callout, owned by chinese company in shenzhen (aforementioned chinese conglomerate). just not seeing a whole lot of differences myself. having owned an e21 carrot stix rod previously, i can say that i was not impressed and for the money one can find MUCH better rods today.

would not only be completely dishonest, but returns don't work like you think they do. sometimes they get marked down or re-sold. more often, they are returned to the manufacturer or field destroyed. this only leads to products being more and more expensive over time as a cost of doing business.

thanks for that info. the prices on gun broker are just all over the board it seems. mostly ones in good shape like mine going for around $400 or so it looks like. mine has some gold accent pieces which are a little upgrade so hopefully $400 is a pretty decent price to have in mind for retail price on it? let's just say the pistol is selling around $400 from one individual to another..... what might i expect as a fair trade in value for it at a reputable gun shop? i appreciate the info guys.

bought one myself from gander mtn.... was able to get the cart just over $100 and use a promo code to get an additional $10 off. so after rebate will have the reel for about $59. i'm pretty stoked about that, but not stoked about it being on backorder with no concrete date of it coming in. talk about having a hard time keeping the bait monkey sedated....

Have a question about how/where to trade/obtain new gun. Hope this doesn't violate the rules, and to be clear I AM NOT TRYING TO SELL OR TRADE THIS HERE. My question is this. I want to obtain a new pistol like a compact or sub-compact and then get a concealed permit. I currently have a horse of a handgun, a Taurus PT-92 (9MM). It's just too big, bulky and frankly too flashy for me. My dad gave it to me a while back. I would like to trade for a smaller less flashy option more suitable for the wife to handle as well and just need to know my best place to start. Would you suggest a gun shop, pawn shop, where? I'm a newb on the sale and trade of guns though i've had guns all my life. just help point me in the right direction or if you can provide some info online to read that would be much appreciated as well. Located just northwest of Atlanta if that helps. Thanks.
