Honestly... Why Are Lefties The Red-Headed Stepchildren?
but how does that explain why so many spinning reels are left oriented, but when you look at baitcasters they are right oriented? i mean i hear you on the disparity of true lefties, but i'm right handed and prefer a left handed reel. i'm just weird i suppose.

Siebert Jigs
just contact mike and ask for a popular selection. i did for my first order because i was just overwhelmed with my options. since then i've made a couple of re-orders on what i really liked. he's a great guy to deal with and will respond incredibly fast.

Fishing And/or Conservation Charity?
I have given to the nature conservancy for a while, but of those you listed i like the national parks. i utilize A LOT of boat ramps at national parks and often times they are free. for that reason alone i would say them.

Jig Fishing From A Kayak
before i bought my wilderness ride i was fishing a BPS ascend sit in kayak. And i always have a jig tied on one rod and worm on the other. both rods are 6'10" and i like them a lot. i had a 7'2" jig rod, but got rid of it because it was too long to be effective in the kayak. a rod between 6'6" and 7' is ideal. i for one try to anchor as little as possible, obviously hard to do in all situations, but just how i am. what felix said about the hookset/rod position is dead on accurate. another thing is if you're not already a line watcher you need to become one. i feel you fish with a slack line or semi slack line a lot more often from that seated position so you really need to watch for those bites that go undetected. trying to skip docks can be a challenge, or at least for me it is. it's far easier for me to do with spinning gear while seated that low. from a high seated position or even standing up in the kayak it becomes much easier for me. i tend to do some odd upwards rotation from the seated position and it doesn't often go very well for me. last thing is really truly flipping is about impossible from the low seated position. peeling off the line and maneuvering that from the low sit in is just frustrating at best. pitching is about the only thing you can really do from that aspect. just try it... it's fun as he**

Sunday Funday
Fished hard on Sunday and it was great! Early morning I went to a highland reservoir in western NC, tried to catch some largies, but they did not cooperate. Caught 2 small ones. After that, I met my dad and brother and we floated down the Little Tennessee River. We were just fishing for anything that was biting, rooster tails and small plugs being the lures for the day. I caught a few bluegill that were pretty big and a number of smallmouth on the smaller side. Then my dad hooked into a really nice smallmouth in the better set of shoals and managed to land him. While I wish it had been me (would have easily been a new PB smallmouth for me) it was exciting to watch the fight! All said, it was a great day, weather was amazing and many more memories made....

River
little to no current and muddy water make for some tough river fishing in my experiences. best conditions for me are some moderate current with fairly clear water. then i target anything that is slowing the water down and fish the backside of that (log, rock, bridge piling, etc.). although it's not the typical lake lure, i do really well with rooster tail type baits (black/yellow with gold blade is killer where i fish) the best part is you'll catch all sorts of fish on those lures so it really makes for a fun day on the river. small senkos/trick worms and finesse jigs are my other "go-to baits in the river. also, when/where you find other water sources dumping into the river, slow down and fish those spots really well. i can almost always count on a fish around a spot where another water source comes in.

Lost A Combo, Need A Replacement
i'm using the 6'10" tatula and really like it. using it for plastics. if i moved everything around and had it exactly where i wanted it, i would probably use it as a spinnerbait/buzzbait or swim jig set up.

Sales Associates At Cabela's And Bass Pro Shops
i think it would be best if they would just admit they don't have the answer or know the answer, but try to find someone that does. all too often i've heard people at these big box stores just give some flat out bad answers/advice when it seemed pretty obvious they did not know what they were talking about. i also agree 100% that the best ones to find are behind the reel counter. last thing i will say is the customer service online and in stores is fantastic, you really cannot beat it.

agree that phones make for even worse even more distracted drivers.... question that nobody can answer for me though, why in the F*** do they have those QR scan codes on billboards? can/do people really whip out there phone and scan those barcodes from a billboard while driving????

Top Producing Spots In Sc?
i likely won't have much to offer, but was wondering if you had a more specific area of SC? more towards the beach area or the mountain region or in between?

River
may want to downsize your lures for the river. the usual meal that fish will find will be a bit smaller in the river. how fast was the water moving? on a day with a lot of current, fishing can be tough, too little current can be tough. was the water level low, high or more of a normal level? also, what was the water clarity like? there's quite a few factors in figuring out the river.

Will This Rod Storage Rack Permanently Damage My Rods?
might help if you could store without the reel attached? just a thought because the top one doesn't appear to have a reel nor a bend.

What's The Most $$$ Lure You've Lost On A Bass
i'm prepared to lose every lure in my tackle box every trip... obviously not saying that would happen, but every lure is one that can be thrown and lost.
