Quick Question About Trailers
I use a trailer on my spinnerbaits 100% of the time. I don't seem to get near as many strikes when not using a trailer. I'll use a Zoom Split tail in pearl. I'll dye the tip of the split tails chartreuse if the water is dingy.

Knots
For moving baits (cranks, spinnerbait, vibrating jigs) when using straight mono or copoly I will tie a San Diego Jam. When using braid to a leader my connection knot is the Albright. Depending on whether I am throwing a bottom contact lure or moving lure will determine what knot I tie with braid to leader. For bottom contact I tie the MIller knot (never failed on me to date). For reaction baits I will use the San Diego Jam. If conditions allow for straight braid, I will tie a Uni with the tag end passed twice through the eye of the hook to prevent slips.

Siebert Outdoors Fogy Bubble Blade User Reviews
I placed an order yesterday that included a Fogy Bubble Blade. Does anyone want to chime in with their experience with this bait? I can't wait to try it out! The vibrating jig bite has been really good here lately so I figured I would give it a go.

Favorite Swimbait Or Swim Jig And Some Help
Revenge swim jigs are the best that I have found. Pick up the bluegill, shad, and chart/white patterns and you should be pretty well set. I would suggest using a Zoom swimmin fluke in either size as the trailer.

Night Fishing During Cold Front
I've been doing some night fishing here in SE KS the past month or so. We had a cold front come through that has dropped the temps down to the mid 60s low 70s and gets down into the 50s at night. I have been doing well with a 3/8oz. Revenge swim jig in Chart/White with Zoom Swimmin Fluke in pearl as the trailer. Slow retrieve around grass lines is what I have been most successful with. Another is an all black Siebert jig with a Havoc Pit Chunk in perfection as the trailer.

Issue With Shimano Symetre
Recently I have been using my one and only spinning combo to finesse fish some deep and clear water. Once I make my cast and my finesse worm reaches the bottom, I'll start working my lure. After I do some quick twitches, I'll go to reel in some slack and the handle sticks on me. It takes much more than it should to get it to turn. It works just fine if I am reeling in my lure to make another cast but when I make pauses during my presentation, it happens every time. Any advice/help?

Problem With My Baitcaster. Any Ideas How To Fix It?
More than likely you have a worn out pawl and or worm gear. Replace them both and you should be good to go.

Baitcast Reel + Braid : When To Use ?
I have braid on all of my reels at the moment. Most the time I will have a fluoro leader unless fishing heavy cover.

Fluke Hooksets
I prefer to use a casting rod in the 7 ft. range that is a medium action. My rod that I use for flukes is a 7'1 M *** with 20lb Power Pro connected to a 17lb fluoro leader. I use a 4/0 Owner Twistlock the majority of the time and a 4/0 EWG Gammy on occasion.

Cheap Braided Line?
Try some Power Pro or Suffix Performance Braid.
-
Soft Plastics/jig Rod
Will you be using braid, fluoro, mono? I prefer a fast tip if I am using braid but if you are using either of the other two types of lines, I would get an xfast. That's just my preference. Like others have said, either will work.

Anyone Use Twistlock Hooks With Flukes?
I use size 4/0 Twistlocks when I am using a fluke. I seem to have a better hook up ratio when using them. As for it changing or hindering the action, I don't notice much of a difference.

Whats Causing My Handle To Peel Off?
Have you used any kind of sunscreen while you were out fishing? Last summer I noticed that when I was fishing that my grips on my TP were starting to shed little bits of rubber. I am pretty positive that is what caused it because it didn't happen to me until then.
