  1. Gave you rep! Isn't that more important.
  2. These posts scare me, I'm glad I don't have a that guy.
  3. I don't change size just for smallies. I use the same lures as I do largemouths. In last year using same baits I caught a 2 to 1 ratio of smallies than largies. Previous year it was about 1 to 1.
  4. At a local shop he has a few things on clearance. He has the Chronarch E for 115 each and he has three of them. One each ratio, he also has a Gen 1 Cumara at 120 bucks. I could buy them all, but after experiencing the Metanium 13, I'm not sure if I want to buy the Es. What would you do? It's so hard to not get on these good deals. Part of me says get them! Another part of me says no way, the will just sit. I'd regret buying them instead of just spending the money on another metanium this time the new version. Ahh dang monkey get off my back! I guess I'm looking for someone to be the voice of reason. ?
  5. I would get next exactly what Trickworm said. Up to you in what order.
  6. If you're going to have one, go with the spinning. The above recommendation are spot on. Especially if you're new to bait casters.
  7. I use 15 lb braid for drop shot and use flouro as a leader. I find it versatile because I can change the leader line to any rating I feel would be effective that day.
  8. The PQ is awesome, I have three of them. They are perfect for some of my setups. They balance well on my carbon lite rods. So they are permanent fixture on them. They also balance on my Shimano Clarus crank bait rod. To me balance is better than lightweight. The weight of the PQ helps in those situations. I am also a Shimano guy.
  9. Love that reel. Oh and killer price.
  10. My pick would be Shimano Stradic.
  11. That is odd. Normally they back their product and would repair that for you or give you a replacement. I'd suggest the same thing, call their cs.
  12. Great! It is fun to test out gear. I'd like to hear about the NRX test. I too went out to test one of my new Metaniums (hg) and a Curado 70 XG. I didn't get to try the Curado because I just couldn't let go of the metanium. All I have to say is wow. So effortless and not only is it smoooooth I was able to hit this island that I always fell short from the bank. I had to get use to the distance I was hitting as I kept over shooting my targets.
  13. What are you asking? Which is better?
  14. Aesthetics a very important part for a few of us. ?
  15. No specific reason other than I got both from a local shop for a real good deal especially for Canadian dollar otherwise my wife would've said no at normal price. Roughly comes out 280 us each.
  16. So you guys inspired me or was it peer pressure? I finally did it. Not only did I finally bought a Metanium, I jumped in with both feet. Bought an HG and XG! And I also bought my first Curado 200 I (HG) and a Curado 70 (XG). I put them on (temporarily) my new travel rod BPS Extreme MH/F 6'6" and I bought a new beater rod 2 PC 6'6 M/F Fenwick Eagle for my trip to Florida at the end of April. (My wife won't let me bring my rods in the jeep for the drive.) Now the problem I have is, I have 4 reels that need a new home.
  17. I couldn't wait and pulled a trigger yesterday for a 70 XG. I figure I'll get the Scorpion down the road when it dies down in demand?. Although I haven't put the new reel to the test but they feel great and already feel like getting another one.
  18. What about a Shimano Cumara. Course I'm part Color blind on red hues. ?
  19. That is why I haven't pulled a trigger on a NRX yet. I'm afraid of what would happen next.
  20. For burning I always go double willow. My favourite colours for small mouth even though pike also go wild is white and white and chart. Just have to live with it. I use boo yah and strike king. For buzz baits I have white and white/chart too. I also have black. I find though Color doesn't seem to matter much. As long as they are well made.
  21. Congrats, awesome fish man!
  22. Awesome congrats man.
