Zodias - Crankbait Rods
Has anyone tried one of these out? If you did, how is it? I was contemplating of getting one as I wanted a 7' medium to replace my 6'6" medium Clarus Crankbait rod.

Lucky Fishing Rod?
The one rod I seem to always get the big ones. My Fenwick M/XF spinning setup. It is paired with a Symetre 2500. 99% time it is with me.

Another reel question
I'm left handed, I usually use right handed bc reels. For spinning I am more comfortable reeling with my left hand. Not sure why, just feel comfortable that way. I guess that is what others are getting at. What feels best for you.

Fenwich Aetos Review
I have the same rod and I concur. It is so versatile but doesn't get much love.

problem with a reel or just paranoid.
Although I tend to only buy Shimano because of personal experience and preference. I disagree, I've owned other reel brands and generally there wasn't quality issues. For or the OP my advice return it for another if you bought new. If used then send it to reputable reel expert for fix.

Shimano Stradic CI4+...over-rated.
Your post was just as much "stirring" the pot as the OP. Just saying.

Pitching at bluegill??
I pitch to everything and often I pitch the same spot. Many times have I caught a fish on the 2nd or third try, especially if it just looks too good I will do it again and from a different angle.

Am I safe to use braid on a loomis GL2?
Yep, my only GL2 I own is a 893c. I use braid all the time. I use it for spinnerbaits or buzz baits.

Mod fast for t-rigs
Normally I wouldn't pick a mod fast rod for fishing plastics. However forget the rating for a second. Question is does the action feel right for you? Fishing it with braid might make it fine too fish a t rig. Before buying a new one since you can't return it, no harm in trying it out?

Shimano Stradic CI4+...over-rated.
Like others have stated, it is your personal experience and opinion. You have that right to express your opinion, but it could've been more constructive instead of adversarial. Or maybe you should've praised your supreme and said the Stradic didn't compare. Of course the way you worded this post comes off with the gloves off. Further I don't own a CI4+ for the same reason, it's too light for me to put on a 7' rod. Why I have FJs.

Mono for jig and worm rod
Big Game baby. Just so you know, I used Big Game 12lb test fishing inshore/saltwater canals recently in Florida. It helped up very well against all the nasty oysters, sharp edges..etc. Also after numerous toothy critters, I didn't have to retie every catch. It held up very well!

Medium Spinning Rod Recommendation
Yes that is the lightest I've used with that combo.

Travel Rod - Casting
I have a bps extreme used it for a trip to Florida. It was decent but sensitivity isn't what I'm used too. It was ok.

Medium Spinning Rod Recommendation
I have this rod, I haven't used it personally for 1/16. Unfortunately I can't test it out for you until two weeks from now. Fenwick however at least the previous generation was lighter than some other manufacturers medium fast. It does have soft tip and think it can handle it. Maybe another person has this rod on the board who can test it out. Mine is paired with a Stradic 2500 FJ. This rod is always with me. Wait a sec last year I used it with a weightless finesse Zoom Worm and it handled it fine. Not going to get a lot of distance but it was a fair distance.

Medium Spinning Rod Recommendation
Fenwick Aetos Spinning Medium Fast 7' 1/16 to 3/4 there you go.

Kayak fishing must have rod/reels?
I carry 5-6 rods on my kayak. 2 spinning, 1 medium fast, 1 mh/MF, and 2 mh/f. If I was limited to 3, I'd take 1 spinning ml/xf for the light stuff/drop shot, 1 medium/fast for small square bills, wacky rig, light lures in general, the mh/f basically same thing as m/f rod but heavier.

What makes a good tube rod
I use my M/xf Fenwick ET rod. Sometimes I will use my Aetos 7' M/F.
