I love my 7' Spinning Fenwick Aetos Medium/Fast and the rating 1/8 to 3/4. The lightest I've thrown is a weightless trick worm on a 2/0 hook, it is paired with a Stradic FJ 2500 10lb Power Pro with a 6lb floro leader.

Best way to find out is to try them! There is no limitation on what you can use to DS. Some days they might want salty others they might not.

Sounds like a good jerkbait rod and/or weightless fluke rod. I have a 6'10" Fenwick elite tech Medium/Fast. I use it more as a weightless fluke rod, but It is an awesome finesse rod too. it can load up 6-7" weightless worm pretty well.

BPS worms, Zoom trick worms..really there is no limit.

Funny story is that I was one of those guys, but I didn't have a 8' long spinning rod. I was once like that not many years ago and thought you people with 20+ rods were crazy. Fast forward about 6 years and I'm one of you crazy guys. I use to be a saltwater fisherman and my rod I owned at the time was a rod not ideal for bass fishing. I use to think freshwater fishermen were wimps and how hard could it be, a land locked body of water. Boy was I wrong! I didn't realize how much bass fishing was a real sport with challenge and once I learned, I caught bass consistently. I've been trying to get my brother in law into fishing, he likes it (he's one of these people)..but he gets discouraged when I catch fish left and right. My goal in 2015 is to help him catch consistently. I've set him up with a nice spinning combo (Airrus rod with a Shimano Symetre) after his setup blew up on him.

I received 100 bucks, combined with my BPS gift card from my birthday 50, I'm saving them both up for the Spring Classic at BPS (reel trade in) for my first Curado I, if I don't like it..I will get another Chronarch CI4+. On top of that I got a subscription for 1 year with LTB from my lovely wife. LTB helps me get through the winter months/blues.

Do tell on the new Carbonlite. Some people are not liking the white, aside from the color..how does it compare with the previous generation?
