  1. Rage rods in St Croix bargin room for 90 bucks! Not bad deal May also see some avids in there in the near future as i heard the avid is going away for tje Avid x. also the new mojo is going scIII
  2. I own both and completely agree with your review! I went a hair overboard though and got a new aldebaran 51 this year and if you like the ci4+ you will love the aldebaran. I will say for the money the ci4+ is the better buy but man do i love the feel of the aldebaron
  3. Amazing reel...i would however say it is not 100 dollars better than the chronarch ci4 my aldebaron is on a 7'1mh ***..i use it for texas rigs mostly...works great, super smooth, light smd amazingly easy to flip and pitch with.
  4. Lamson make a nice reel! I have a guru g2 on a croix 5wt that has been awesome!
  5. 1 hp is roughly 75lbs of thrust there is a formula somewhere but i cant remember the details of it other than the rough results
  6. Been throwing em for about 15 years now and still get the occasional overrun, especially when im pitching in clpse quarters...this year i got brave and taught my self how to skip baits with them...
  7. Yep im gonna need one of those beasts for sure
  8. If it failed there is 99% chance that it was tied incorrectly
  9. Knot failure, nicks in line, maybe a sharp spot caused by a broken or cracked eye, it could be a lot of things really
  10. I fished braid on a lightning rod (circa 1994) for several years without issue the Rage will be fine
  11. The channel is usually good for some topwater action the main lake is always fun. The docks drop off deeeeep fast! Pitching docks is a good bet. Swim jigs and t rigs. Submerged weeds are also always a good option some nice bass in that lake! i usually have a dropshot, trig, frog or sammie, and a heavy jig tied one there. I also like a jerkbait there all summer
  12. Favorite...jerkbait. ( jig and top water get honorable mentions) Least...senkos...hate em...if i have a senko tied on i am very very desperate and most likely agitated lol ive owned the same pack of senkos for over 8 years now lol
  13. The mirrordine (greenback), bone superspook junior, a soft jerkbait rigged a 1/8 mission fissin jig head, doa shrimp and baitbusters, and a plain old spoon always produced for me. Those caught reds, snook, trout, jacks, macks, cuda, stupid sailcats, ladyfish, sheepies, and the occasional tarpon also learn the tides...they play a big role
  14. Cant wait for tje honoye tourny this weekend!!! Battle of the 2lbers lol
  15. I dont lose fish....they lose me
  16. ColdSVT replied to Jrob78's topic in Fishing Tackle
That duo trout looks mighty tasty...
  17. I heard something about a helix 7 from humminbird
  18. Once in a great while my gen stx will do that i just take the spool out, clean the areas near the spool and apply a very thin coat of oil...i usually have to do that once or twice a season
  19. One of these days ill catch a fish on a lipless crank...one of these d**n days!!!
  20. Chronarch 51e and the stradic ci4+ 2500 Baits...lc wakebait, mustad kvd triple grip trebles and rage craws
  21. I woulda left a nice littlw note for him...
  22. i have caught bass under 12 inches on 6xd, 1oz jigs, and a 10inch rage anaconda...the pocket rocket is not nearly as bulky as those baits...
