ya gotta change stuff up, if you fish the same bait for forever and not get any action you should certaily change tactics. perhaps you did nothin wrong and tje fish just werent hungry or maybe they wanted something else if they arent hungry look for a reation bite, if they are hungry keep changin until.you start catchin!

its gonna be awesome im sure...perhaps I will another TP vice the chronarch but we will see. after I put the TP through its paces this summer ill make my decision come january when I always get a new combo. im a shimano guy at heart but I like to try new stuff all the time lol. I have a citica E, curado E a culcutta B, a gen 2 2 STX and a BPS rick clunn. but I have always lusted for a chronarch lol

Some of you all know of the problems I had with my gen 3 STX...after tossing around ideas and going back and forth between a chronarch and the lews TP I decided on the Lews TP. however I still plan on getting a chronarch lol any way the Lews is goin on the 2013 LTB 71MHF that I had for the STX...cant wait till weds when it gets here!

no it wont hurt for rig but it will wreck yoir fingers sometimes lol all fishing season I have cuts on my fingers from tying knots with braid lol

ill tell ya what I have been nothin but amazed by pure fishings customer service. I had my replacement in three days, and with the replacment now going back they took it no questions asked. the eben asked what they could do for me with a nother model and I said no thanks and they understood overall pures CS was outstanding to say the least tks to my awesome local tackle shop owner ill have a new chronarch soon. in other news my gen2 stx is flawless and she gets a lot of action

only reason I bought a gen 3 is because I liked my gen2 so much. I bought the gen2 just,to try something new. great real so I bought a gen3. I still like my gen2 but im not gonna own another gen3. back to shimano I go or perhaps a lews tp

I dunno about the batches, my 201e curado and citca have,been through hell and perform jusy like when they were new, same for my calcutta and my johnny morris rick clunn edition, same for my gen 2 STX. I dont know what happened at abu. I mean when the gen 3 worked it was friggin awesome, but I expect my equipment to work as hard for me as I do to keep them them in good working order. I guess I am just dissapointed in the the gen3 and what I is,suppossed to be

sent my first one back after six weeks and having a problem post cast with the spool not engaging and having to reset the drag thereafter....Got my replacment a few days ago and guess what? I am sending that one back after the first cast once again the spool would not engage. couldnt reel in anything. still cant as a matter of fact my gen 2 STX is flawless and has been since I got it, wth is going on with the gen 3? I will not be getting a 3rd gen 3, it is gonna be a chronarch or a lews TP there is no good reason to send two reels that retailed for nearly $200 back in the same month.

what sam said...when I first started using cranks on a regular basis I had some of the same problems as you OP I learned to be more gentle and keep my tip down with constant pressure on the fish. not alot but enough if thst makes sense

awesome reels! ive fished the speed spool and the tourny mg and they were both great. super comfy in the hand and buttery smooth my next reel is gonna be a tourny pro. ad much as I love my curados and revo STXs the TP is where im going. great reels and a great price for the performance!

I have a curado 201e7 and a citica 201e6 and I love em. my curado is my fav reel in my aresenal. I like my calcutta my not like I do my curado lol

I have one of the STXs you speak of as well...no I wont sell it lol update: abu is sending me a new reel as mine is still under warranty. the shop I bougjt it from called and they said a new one is on its way.
