  1. certainly I would use braid a lipless in grass or any other veggieshowever with a diving crank I go flouro. usually 12# for deep divers and 14# for square bills one thing however, dont be so afraid to lose a bait. I only say this because I used to be like that too and ive learned over that sometimes you gotta sacrifice some baits in order to catch fish. even though I hate it I will throw a 6xd or a lucky craft deep into timber knowing I will either lose the bait or catch a fish or end up back in there trying to get my lure out. I fish jigs the same way only I use heavy braid vice 12# flouro
  2. i use the palomar for everything my question however is why are you using braid for crankbaits?...Braid floats and hinders the achievable depth for any crankbait
  3. all ya need on the whinni is a chartruese spinner bait! lol last time i fished winni (may 2005) my partner and i scored well on pointer 110 ghost minnow, x-rap black and chrome, black and blue jigs, drop shots (green pumpkin worms) and chartruese w twin willows in silver or chartruese had to look in my old fishing diary for that lol

my two go to baits are a T-rigged Sweet beaver or a black and blue jig you will always find two rods set up like that on the deck and usually one of them is in my hand that is until deep crankin time comes in my area. but i still keep the beaver and the jig on deck
  5. I like 12# flouro on my jerkbait rig. cant go wrong with braid or mono though.
  6. I have Red Label on every rod but one. my heavy froggin rod which also doubles as a heavy cover jiggin stick. that lady gets 65# power pro is it the best flouro oit there? no, but for the price I dont think it can be beat. sure there is some spool memory when it sits for ahwile but a little conditioner will cure that
