  1. grabbed some sickfish, tubes and a couple silent stalker 6XDs the other day this morning I grabbed some seaguar flouro. I thought I had enough to spool sll my reels but it turns out I need another 200 or so yds lol...i had less on hand than I though or my wife tossed one of my spools...
  2. last tike I fished the K, I did well on the east shorline with a jerkbait. I lucky craft slender pointer in ghost minnow to be exact. even in 40ft of water it worked. however, the water was closer to 50 degees this time last year
  3. be advised that water is silly clear!
  4. a man always needs a new rig...always
  5. I made my most important purchase of the year today. got my license!
  6. what, ryneb said dont reel the joining knot into the rod if you can help it
  7. the best time to fish is whenever my dad can go with me...which isnt nearly as much as I would like
  8. three first was 20osh inch northern pike. he put the front treble of a husky jerk 14 into my right thumb past the bard, on the next shake he ripped it out...hurt bad second was a lady fish that ran a zara spook super spook jr into my left middle finger, once again past the barb third was a 1.5 to 2 lb largemouth that put a lucky craft poimter into my left index finger yep past the barb
  9. ask me all the questions you want and ill give you honest answers. I however will not tell you why I am doing something in particular because I think that is something one should learn on thier own
  10. round goes to my calcutta b 201 low pro is a tie between my curado e7 201 and my gen 3 revo stx. last year my curado beat my gen 2 stx, but the gen 3 is a tie for now lol
  11. you sir are one slick nickle! def gonna try this!
  12. if an area permits run them as parralel to the bank as you can. I wear chest waders this time of year when I am bank fishing just so I can parallel the banks with jerks and cranks
  13. if I had open water.... wont be long though!
  14. thats is exactly why companies do it ..to catch you first I had an xrap lose most of its paint and I took a black sharpie to it...it slays better than it did when it was black and cjrome
  15. I usually stick to 1/4 or 5/16. in cover I like a 3/8 or 1/2. on pressured lakes I drop down to 1/8 and 3/16
  16. in the mid 90s i switched to gorilla braid from mono. holy crap what a difference!!! there was a slight learning curve with knots and when to set the hook but other than that i had no issues. I loved the sensiticity and lack of stetch from the moment i first tried it. i have since been through fireline, spiderwire, suffix, cortland, and some others i forget. my favorite was and still is Power Pro original. that being said you will find seaguar flouro in abrazx, invisx, and red label on all my baitcasters except one. my heavy jig rod has Power Pro on it as do all of my spinning rigs save my trout rod lol
  17. ^^^ ironically i bought a Mojo and STX last year lol

I fish tubes all the time... I usually have a texas rigged one or a jig head rigged one tied on one of my rigs all the time. I do best with them in late spring and early summer but they produce all season, especially on pr, pressured fish. lastly if I miss one on structure with a spinnerbait, square bill, or creature I will almost always toss a tube right back in there. more often than not ill hook up on that return cast with the tube
  20. braid to terminal = palamar braid to leader = albright I have dealt with tarpon up to 150lbs on both combos so I doubt I a bass will beat it. however, with light braid go with a double palamar knot to terminal tackle without a leader
  21. I almost always texas rig my beavers with a gammi or laser sharp wide gap. usually a 3/0. bullets depends on structure and depth. sometimes however I go with a weighted swimbait hook around trees and docks. actually I always have one rigged just not always tied on. the swin bait hook works great on most creature bait to provide a "glide in" approach
  22. gonna work with some rage anacondas and try out the pit boss as well
  23. welcome to the game! my first tourny last year I lost a solid 2.5-3 pounder at the boat one my first cast of the day....that turned oit to be the norm for me that day. hook em and lose em lol I would rather lose with a limit than lose on fish I left in the lake
  24. I like a lc 110 or 128 in cold stained or murky water. if it is clear I like a lc 78 or a yozuri chrystal minnow and a jig
