  1. for pure cranking I go glass. For lipless and squarebills around grass and more cover, I go graphite.
  2. only thing that sucks with the 90 is majority of the time they are hooked in the front hook and the back hook is all up in their gills. And I also have missing a lot of fish lately after hookup on the back hook. Gonna swap out the back hook to something stickier and see if it helps. Anyone know what brand hooks R2S runs with?
  3. I normally have to order the 25lb. Unfortunately the Academy and Gander in my area only goes up to about 20lb.
  4. The naked blade cracks too easily. Ill pass on buying any more.
  5. You do not want to use braid with swimbaits like the Bull Shad. It is more prone to snapping. Most use 25lb P-line CX or CXX.
  6. I caught about a 6lb bass on a 9" Shallow Invader one of the last times I was musky fishing.
  7. no mention of the Duo Realis lipless?
  8. And I recently saw some of the Xtreme at a local tackle shop but I didn't buy them cause they were already all yellow, but the ones I have at home are still clear. The Luck-e-strikes are all yellow. lol
  9. I noticed some in stores are already yellow tinted still in the packages.
  10. Does it bother anyone when the plastic scrounger starts fading into a yellow/orangish color? For some reason, I like mine to be clear. Does it make a difference or are there brands that don't fade like this?
  11. I bought two and sold both of them ASAP after testing them. Mine would not walk for crap.
  12. I would get a Dobyns Fury. Best sub $100 rod I have ever used.
  13. you have to have a pass to get in. Can't just show up and get in from my understanding. Not open to public.
  14. I tried and Daiwa said I had to send the entire reel in if I wanted warranty work. I asked if they could just send me T-wings but they said no.
  15. Top pic is the older wider T-wing. second pic is the thinner on top T-wing that is supposed to fix the grooving and is already on the Tat HD, Zillion, etc.
  16. 5 of my 6 Tatulas have grooving within a year of purchase. I contacted Daiwa this morning and I am gonna go ahead and send all 6 of them in for them to swap to the newer, thinner T-wing. My tatula HD already has the thinner T-wing and has no grooving issues. From talking, they are going to do it free of charge since it was a design flaw in the T-wing. For reference, I only use fluoro and copoly. No braid. Thankfully this will fix the issue since I have no other reel companies I want to turn to.
  17. anybody used this and can give me an honest opinion on it? Also what happened to the Walk? Did they discontinue it?
  18. I use CX, CXX is too stiff for me, especially after a few uses.
  19. I got tired of it and sold mine. Annoying.
  20. the new Salt Life Optics are awesome. I find myself wearing them more than my Smith Optics
  21. Bull Shad if you are talking about hard swimbaits.
  22. so I am dealing with this same issue. The more brakes you have on, the more the noise. if you loosen brakes, it goes away, which means it is definitely the brakes. I added oil to the bearing and brake drum but did not make a difference on mine. I will keep messing with it but this is a pain in the @#$.
