  1. I never pay any attention to it. It casts great and that is all that matters to me.
  2. Pop-R and change out the Hooks. Don Iovino Splash It 2 if you want to splurge.
  3. Specifically talking about using for a Basstrix. I have tried Owner Beast, Gamakatsu superline, Trokar? I tend to lean toward Owner and Gammy. Don't know if there is really much difference between the two of them other than the Owners are like $2 more.
  4. Big Bite Baits is based out of Eufaula, Alabama. I think their plastics are actually made at different facilities, one being in GA. Tackle Tour or BassMaster had a big walkthru tour of the facility a while back. The same facility produces the Gander Mountain plastics from the same molds so basically they are the same thing.
  5. I am about to go ahead and get rid of my last Curado I for another Tatula. I will just say the Curado I is high maintenance.
  6. I use it for my swimbait fishing in 25lb test. All other methods I use Sunline.
  7. Oh Kicker Fish are definitely worth the savings. They were my last purchase when buying these style baits.
  8. Im a big fan of the Shadow Rap.
  9. I fish them a lot but I live in Alabama where they are based. My favorites are the Fighting Frogs, Squirrel Tails, and Flying Squirrels.
  10. To me, the Keitech, Kicker Fish, Bass Pro Speed Shad, Kalin's, Bass Assasin Boss Shiner are all basically the same with slightly different smells, etc. I don't care which brand i have as long as it is Bluegill Flash in 3.8". ha
  11. I just got the Dobyns 704CB Glass and it is perfect for the 1/4oz Bandits, etc.
  12. remember that Sunline rates their line a little less than American companies. 25 Armilo is equivalent to about 16 Big Game.
  13. I just think it is funny he has a Duckett in his profile pic.
  14. They are not going away. They are discontinuing a lot of products though like the 75 and 100 lipless baits, etc. Same thing with Bandit. Since Pradco bought them, they are getting rid of the Squarebill and some other unproductive sellers. Just a brand makeover.
  15. I recently picked up a Dobyns Extreme 703SF Spinning rod and it is very sensitive. All my other rods are Champions.
  16. yeah, I think you are right. Run straight fluoro, don't worry about money and don't have to worry about ever reaching the backing
  17. Trying to decide if I want to use braid backing under the fluoro (topshot) or just run straight fluoro? I am talking like half spool of braid and half spool of fluoro, not a leader. Straight fluoro - Costs more $$, don't have to worry about reaching backing over time. braid backing - Saves $$, have to worry about retying too many times and slowly reaching the backing knot at the end of a cast. I understand pros doing this like A-A-ron Martens, since they can just readd new fluoro every day but it may be more beneficial for me to just run straight fluoro and change every 2 or 3 months.
  18. I use 25 lb P-Line CX. I do not want to use braid with swimbaits. Personal preference. Yeah maybe Daiwa will eventually release a Tatula 300.
  19. yeah exactly. I don't like running a spool that far down. Especially with all the stripers around me that sometimes take off with my swimbaits. I need a 300 size Tatula. A Tatula HD HD. ha
  20. I currently use a Revo Toro 50 HS. My buddy uses the Curado 300E. To toss the big swimbaits like Bull Shads, etc., we use 25lb test. Toro 14/200 Curado 14/190 Tatula HD 14/165 by the time I bump up to 25lb test I would probably only have like 80 yards of line on the HD. Anyone used the Tatula HD with 25lb test? Guess I will be sticking with the Toro for another year.
  21. I ended up canceling my rat order cause they were holding other backordered stuff waiting on the rat. Wasn't worth holding my MS Slammer for 6 months.
  22. I saw them on clearance for $69.99 earlier this week. No clue if they ring up $29 though.
  23. this was kayaks. Floated 7 miles with 3 people. always changing positions on front and back. Chatterbait is a more efficient creek and river bait by far. Probably caught over 50 fish all day between the 3 of us trying different things. I have fished with these 2 guys for the past two years in various locations.
