  1. maybe a Spro BBZ-1 in the 6 to 8 inch.
  2. actually this thread I started because I use Abu Revo SX's and been noticing them being finicky lately.
  3. they work. I prefer the Bull Shad.
  4. yes they are soft but I fished with one all day for smallmouth and finally lost it after about 10 fish.
  5. I know it has been asked 1000 times on this board. But I have 4 Revo SX and one Tatula. I always have issues with the SX as far as slight backlashes and fine tuning the brakes. In love with the Tatula and thinking about making the switch. Hard to beat them at that price.
  6. Which do you prefer and which is most forgiving?
  7. the KVD swimfish is going to be a trailer for the Chatterbaits. I figure it will either be like the Roboworm E-Z Shad or either a Keitech Fat IMpact.
  8. because sunscreen leaves nasty stains on my clothes and turns the collars of white shirts a pee yellow color.
  9. get a kayak, leave the banks behind, give yourself access to new bodies and parts of waters. And get the In-Fisherman books about largemouth bass, etc.
  10. I used both it and the CX at the same time and had more problems and breaks with the Fluorocarbon. It seems to be weaker at the same lb test as CX. If I run flouorclear now I always bump up my test. If I want 15, I use 20, etc.
  11. I use 20 to 25 lb P-Line CX for swimbaits up to 4 to 5 ounces.
  12. for bigger ones - over 2 ounces, I do not throw those on my regular bass reels. It will wear them out over time. I use a Revo Toro and a Revo Toro NACL. Some people use Shimano Cardiffs and the larger Daiwa Lexas. They are just better geared. Also I have a Abu 6500c3 I use. don't get the C4, it has weaker gears.
  13. Bama Craw! BOINNNNGGGGGGGGGGGG
  14. I am planning on rage rigging mine.
  15. L U N K E R H U N T frog. not sure why it edited it over there. man, they filled up with water every cast. after a couple of pops it would start sinking on me. I would have to squeeze the belly to let the water out after every cast. Not cool.
  16. meh, Big Bite Baits trick sticks are $2 something a pack and come with more per pack.
  17. I have had a bass pro package on the way for about 2 weeks. Slowest shipper ever.
  18. if you want to catch big bass, use big lures and not finesse stuff like dropshot. Once I started using larger lures, my fish size has increased dramatically. Swimbaits, larger chatterbaits, topwater, etc.
  19. I drag a shakey head across bottom. Texas Rig i fish up and down in the water column. Two different approaches IYAM.
  20. I use the stand up jigs for my shaky head instead of ball heads.
  21. I use co-poly for everything. less memory and stronger to me than Mono.
  22. I know it wasn't mentioned by OP but the Revo Winch is an awesome crankbait reel. The Tatula is awesome as well. I have never owned a Lew's and probably never will so I cannot give an answer on them.
  23. I love the KVD L&L. Only one I have used so I can't give an opinion on the others.
