So why would anybody buy ZinkerZ baits? If I wanted a bait that sinks, I wouldn't buy it if it floats. and if I wanted a bait that floats, I'd get one that doesn't sink.

According to the Z-Man website, the ZinkerZ baits sink, and the 1/15oz jig sinks, so how does the whole rig float?

Stocked trout have been feed nothing but "trout" chow ever since they were born and are not used to feeding on moving baits. A ball of Berkley PowerBait for trout on a hook under a float will work as well or better than anything.

I wouldn't use 30 pound braid on my spinning gear. I don't even use 30 pound braid on my baitcasters. I like that braid is thin and limp that's why I use it. The thinner the better, but that's just me. I have no idea what kind of fishing you do or where you fish so it's hard for me to tell you what would work for you.

i fish shallow rivers for smallies quite a bit. For the most part, the lure you use almost doesn't matter. What does matter, is getting whatever bait you use in front of the fish. Any bait you have in your box will catch river smallmouth when you put it in the right spot. Having said that, the bait you use also has to work in the water where they are. A jig in a fast, shallow, rocky riffle is just going to be snagged in the rocks on every cast. Getting that jig through a tangle of branches in a downed tree also isn't going to work very well. A weightless, 4 inch Texas rigged rigged Senko will work in either of those situations. During the summer, those two places is where I find 80% of my fish. When trying to cover a lot of water I'll throw a #4 plain Mepps. I'll also keep a topwater tied on my third rod most of the time.

Could be the picture is 20 years old too. NEVER buy a boat without looking at it in person first.

Get a piece of carpeting, a rug or a blanket to throw over the car to protect it while loading and unloading.

Transparency is not an issue for me. I use braid (no leader) because it doesn't stretch.

In-line spinners will catch everything that swims. I use bigger spinners for bass, but pike, perch rock bass and walleyes will all hit them. Your local tackle store is trying to catch trout fishermen by marketing spinners to them.

No jerseys for me. I have to have pockets. I use the long sleeve, quick dry shirts with the vents in the back. Most of mine are from Columbia or Bass Pro.

I do a lot of road trip fishing vacations. One friend of mine that I've known for 50 years, agreed to go with me on a drive in trip that was 500 miles away. We've been all over Canada, Minnesota, Wisconsin and the rest of the Midwest over the years and he's always been one of my favorite fishing partners. As with most all cabin rentals, if you back out, you are still responsible for the cost of the entire rental. 5 days before the trip, he backed out and left me to pay for the whole trip. I went alone to keep from getting nothing for my money. He had a reasonable excuse at the time but when he did it to me a second time 2 years later, without offering me a dime to cover his share of what it cost, I decided our trips together were over.

There may be a master circuit breaker that is turned off. Could be right on the dashboard. Possibly in the battery compartment.

Have you done any work to figure out how much it will cost to produce, package and distribute your baits? How much time will be involved in production, packaging, sales, book keeping, shipping? If you haven't, you'd better before you invest much money into this project. Don't be surprised if the numbers show your costs are higher than what others are selling their product for. As a rule, profit margins in the tackle business are on the low side which is why you see a lot of small business' fail. There just isn't much profit in selling fishing tackle. Bass Pro Shops stores carry a lot of clothing because that's where the profits are.

You'd have to sell a lot of baits to turn enough profit to put some money in the bank. Lucky Craft sells baits for $17 not because they cost a lot to make, but to increase their profit margins. Good luck.

Suspending jerkbaits for pre-spawn all the way to when they lock on the beds and stop feeding. I don't fish for bass on their beds so I don't know what works then.

Up in Northern Wisconsin and the UP of Michigan, where I fish in the summertime, it's only dark for about 6 hours a day. The daytimes temps are seldom reach 85, the bass bite all day. You have to sleep sometime. Why would I fish at night?

Did you use the parking brake on the truck at all? Does the truck work normally after you dropped the trailer? Does the trailer have its own brakes? Can you jack up the trailer and check each wheel for looseness or bearing wear?
