i know this is a real popular rifle and on of the most fun to shoot. i just got a new one, and ordered a ATI folding/colpaseable stock for it, along with a few BX-25 Mags and a fore grip. next is a scope or red dot sight. i will post a pic when i get everything on it, but know its is just the stock wood model. what have done to yours? and man is it a pain in the a$$ to find 22LR ammo now a days...
  3. is interest charged on this??
  4. I remember my first bass. My friend at school (I was a sophomore in high school) was talking about this lake near his house and how he was catching some nice bass out of it. I asked him if he would take me and he said sure. I had just bought a cheep cabelas bait casting combo, ( keep in mind I knew NOTHING about bass fishing back them) and he showed me how to rig up a Texas rig. I put on a Yamamoto Kreature and we were casting into some Lilly pads, I felt the tap tap and set the hook pretty hard, I had the fish on and up next to the boat when he made a run under the boat and actually snapped my rod lol. I kept reeling he my friend netted the bass. Got it in and I was ecstatic!! We weighed it and it was a 4.8lb green. I was super stoked and took like probably 15 pics with it. Pretty sure I'll always remember that
  5. theres a few good ones, but I'm gonna have to say Potholes Reservior. Tons of ways to catch them, Giant LMB and SMB, and some sweet terrain and good weather to fish in
  6. no difference between 704 and 734 that i can notice. I prefer the 704 because it is a tad bit shorter, i have a little more control when im skipping a bait up under a dock, or up under a tree. It also works just fine when fishing grass, i can make long casts just fine with it. to me, its the perfect 1/2-3/4oz jig rod. if your gonna be fishing that 1/2-3/4oz jig in heavy cover, get the 735. but if your flipping weedlines, docks, stumps, overhangs etc... 734 IMO is a perfect rod. thats what i use mine for. also, i feel 15lb fluorocarbon is perfect for that rod
  7. I would get a 683 or 703 for senkos, flukes, small jigs and texas rigs, squarebills, rattletraps. The 703 is one of my favorite rods. pair that with a reel that has 12lb line on it. 704 or 734 for bigger jigs, spinnerbaits carolina rig, bigger bait texas rigs. i would pair this with 15lb or 17lb fluoro or 30lb braid if your gonna do any heavy punching or frogging in heavy cover, grab a 735, but if you just flipping docks, weeds, etc.. the 704/734 should have more than enough power for you. than grab a 705CB graphite cranking rod. it can do it all. topwaters, squarebills, rattle traps, deep divers, shallow cranks. one of the best cranking rods out there.
  8. its just like everything else, bigger numbers grab our attention. and its something new they can make money off of. Remember, they are all about money, money money money. I guarantee someone will comeout with a 10.1:1 here soon, it will be the next "big Thing" and everyone will want one. Its all marketing
  9. hey thanks for the replies guys.. Im really thinking about getting the 803, i had an 803 GL2 a long time ago, while it wasn't real sensitive, that was one of my favorite rods to fish with, something about the action of the rod and how it reacted, i just fell in love with it lol, I've been trying to find a rod with that same action since then, still haven't found it. So I'm sure this new GLX 803 will be even better
