  1. What do you have currently? You can get some very nice set ups that will be light and sensitive for half the money. Being that you aren't made of money, why not get a couple very nice set ups instead of one high end combo. It does depend on what you have now. You're post just leads me to believe that you're not set up already. Not trying to talk you out of anything, it's your money, just remember that the fish don't know what you're using. That said, I really like my kews tournaments and my chronarchs. My *** omens are nice too, but I also like fishing with my cabelas mag touch so I don't know what that says to you
  2. Love mine as well. I've caught a few over 5# now with my medium fast. Worked great. Stays loaded up nicely keeps that hook set real nice. I honestly felt like the little ones seemed like more of a struggle on that rod lol
  3. Definitely a nice fish.
  4. Caught myself a cabelas fish for millions tagged bass. 18 inches and 3lbs even
  5. Ive done alot of worm fishing with a medium rod. I don't think I've lost many fish because of it. Some of my bestfish have came on a 6'10" medium
  6. I know people have said to wait three seconds, but that is plenty of time for a big fish to spit the frog. They have been around a while and know they aren't real. Maybe just wait a full second. I think the problem mousy people have is ripping it out as soon af they see the strike. I think braid helps, but if you're ripping it out if their mouth you're kind of running in circles. My opinion, we'll see what the smarter guys have to say
  7. Nice job! Nothing like trying new tackle and having it produce
  8. Looks like a great time! Nice catches and congrats for the wife's personal best
  9. Never heard anything bad about them. I had a different pair, they seemed like great sunglasses. The only problem I had was someone apparently wanted them more then me and stole them out of my saddle bag on my bike.
  10. I love mine, I did break it, but it was my fault. It got replaced for free so no issue there. I just bought a 7'1 medium as well. Hopefully they hold up, but very happy so far. Customer service was great
  11. I would either pay the taxes or sell it and pay cash plus taxes on a 40k Ranger or something else
  12. Nice catches! I've only caught one little Pike this year. Little hammer handle size. Never really have targeted them.
  13. Nice! Can't wait to see the finished product
  14. I would throw them both. Figure out which one works for you each day and on different bodies of water. Don't get too caught up in the best "ways or rules" you could end up chasing fish and end up frustrated that they aren't biting the rattle on the windy day or vise versa. Just my opinion
  15. So simple, but easy to overlook. Thanks for the idea

    Happy birthday
  17. Sucks to hear. Things will get better. Maybe karma will come around and you have the best weekend fishing ever. Keep your head up!
  18. Just depends on the day. I've had some very productive days with an ear bud in. It helps me to stay focused and keeps me from being too antsy
  19. Maybe put a little electrical tape or gaffers tape around the feet of the reel
  20. Nice job, beautiful fish
  21. Pm sentThanks, I'll update my avatar if I can ever resize from my phone, computers not hooked up lol
