  1. I here you, I don't have any trouble with distance... But with something that light I am way more accurate with a medium.....until I tried it on one of my other medium heavy rods and loved it...but on another medium heavy rod im back to being less accurate.. so basically my question is about a *** medium heavy, I do no not own a *** medium heavy and was thinking about purchasing one.
  2. Great Offshore too..just to mention going frogging is one of my favorite things to do at night on the water.. Throw some jugs "noodles" out for cat fish and then go beat the the banks up and start catching huge as bull frogs with your hands all night long..get home at daylight sleep wake up clean fish and froglegs and fry them up later that evening! And we don't call them crappie or bluegill here it's sacalait and bream!!
  3. i finally switched from xps to InvizX.. The difference is pretty much night and day! I know it's close to 5 bucks out of your price range but next time you go get a value meal at Mickey ds eat the dollar instead and get some good stuff.
  4. I only threw a spinning reel maybe 4 or 5 times in my life.. I hate it! I started with a Zebco 33 but by age 8 or 9 I was accurate with a baitcaster.. My dad had me throwing at garbage can tops around the yard with a plastic plug. Every since then its been all bait casters..just a couple weeks ago I tried my buddy's spinning reel and was not accurate and felt very akward. I guess I need to buy one and learn!
  5. the *** black mh fast is rated for 3/8 to 1 oz.. Thanks guys
  6. Does any one have problems throwing a 1/8 bait with a medium heavy rod with bait caster reel.. Example like a 1/8 bullet weight and a baby brush hog?
  7. Florida! Huge large mouths.. .. Go off shore catch some marlins, tuna, sail fish etc.... Besides fishing they have some nice beaches! Thats where we go for vacation but I would like to spend a whole summer there.. BUT you can't keep me out of Louisiana long!! To much fun stuff to do here
  8. Bass is the best fresh water fish to eat down here in south louisiana! The best is deep fried fillets cut into nuggets with louisiana seasoned crispy batter! We can cook down here trust me..
  9. I know he said they will ship it to me free of charge!..I'm not so sure about sending it to them because I haven't filled out the forum working 12 hour shifts right now it's tough to do much.
  10. That's only if its your fault and I want to say it has to be outside a year or something I'm not 100 percent so don't quote me on that
  11. Kind of off subject a little but do you guys trim your swimjig skirts as you would a regular brush or football head?
  12. Update: I called *** at work and I talked to a guy named Matt. Those who think the rods are great the customer service is even better! No questions asked he didn't even ask how it happened. He told me to fill out a forum on the website and send the rod in! within 24 hours of receiving the broken rod they will send me another one/.. I asked if he needed a copy of the receipt from TW he said no because they have only been out a year... I will keep every one updated on the process!!
  13. I finally tried them been fishing them for a month or two.. I fish with 1/8 and honestly I don't know if its a big difference.. The size is a lot smaller which I like but with that size weight I don't know if it increases sensitivity.. I have the strike king ones.. As far as losing them..I only use them on Texas rigs and If I get hung up on something I just pull the boat to it, reel up slack line , put the rod tip down and get it right out...
  14. Thanks man I haven't called them yet but I will keep every one updated
  15. Did you return it where you purchased it or did you go through G.loomis? Man I would have been real sick to my stomach if I would have broke that!
  16. I haven't contacted them yet I have been pretty busy at work today.. But yeah that is why I posted this. I know a lot of people on here have These rods and we all really enjoy them.. I just hate being the one with the bad luck haha.. I haven't read one bad review.. 3 days ago i would have recommended these rods to any one and everyone but now it all depends on the customer service.. They are coming out with reels now too that looked interesting. I will keep you fellas updated
  17. Nope, never! I baby all my stuff pretty much OCD with my equipment.. I'm not rich so it's a investment for me to purchase hundred dollar rods with me just being a weekend angler...
  18. 7'1 medium fast *** black... 15lb InvisX floro..my texas rig rod
  19. Broke about a foot from tip, a couple inches above the 4th eye counting down from tip..I broke it on a hook set.. Bass was still on when it jumped out of the water it looked every bit of 4 possibly 5 pounds but the same time it jumped and shook his head and got free..pretty bummed that was only the second or third time I took the rod out.. The plastic paper is still on the cork spot.. Now lets see how the customer service is! I'm still bummed I really liked the rod.. This is my first horror story with a new rod.. It almost makes me want to not fish with *** any more but I here guys have problems with all brand rods every once in a while.. It sucks and I keep telling my self "I should have went with the duckett" haha man I'm bummed
  20. I can't wait to try the flick sticks!! Good luck at ICast!
