  1. Them rods go on sale often for $69... They are made by dawia.. Hard rod to beat in the 100 dollar catagorey.. Super lite and the Winn grips are awesome..
  2. I throw same thing early morning or late evening but depends on weather... In summer you can't go wrong with frogs.. If you can't get bit on hollow body frogs like spro bronze eye shad or booyah pad crashers, try buzz frogs like Stanley ribbit frogs..
  3. I bought some last year to me they don't run as deep as the bandits or kvds i may need to down size my line size
  4. I think colors matter.. I was fishing a location with muddy water here recent and after not getting bit on junebug, black and blue, June bug red and black neon, I through watermelon red and ended up slamming them... But.....that doesn't happen often, I honestly think colors matter more with moving baits..
  5. I prefer spro.. In my experience they are more Durable.. I can't say it's because I caught more fish on a spro... The reason I caught more on spro because I throw it a ton more ..
  6. I bought one of these last year on sale at academy.. caught a ton of fish off of the chartreuse black back until it broke.. Found out they was on sale for $2.48 .. Got 20 for me and 10 for my tournament partner..
  7. I here you Man, except I have been slaying the fish 12" and under lol... I fish a tournament and they bring in 15 - 20lb bags ... I can't catch a fish with any size on it!
  8. Never had luck with ugly otter but never gave it a fair chance have no confidence it.. I do catch fish using the why-not mainly punching with it but caught a few using it as a jig trailer... One day I will leave my sweet beavers and d bombs at home and give the ugly otter a fair chance
  9. Or Do they even make jigs like that?
  10. Any one knows a company of company's that sells jigs with flat rubber skirts??
  11. Take that back.. This morning I couldn't get bit on anything I threw. I was fishing a shallow grass flat with cypress trees that borders the flat.. My rage menace got tore up and I had a old red bug rage cut-r worm that was pretty tore up sitting in my recessed trolling motor tray .. I bit the top off a couple inches of the worm and stuck it on a 1/4 oz black and blue with a few strands of orange Swim jig.. First cast was a 3lber ..2nd cast was dang near a 4lber ... I ended up catching 10 fish in 30 minutes.. I was always a believer in the rage cut-r worm for flipping... But it's also a great swim jig trailer... And the skirt did not match the trailer at all color wise..
  12. Humdinger and rumba doll lures all year long for me... Flat living rubber
  13. I used to use little dippers, zoom swimming flukes and fat Alberts the last two weeks i been crushing with the rage tail menace!!
  14. Yeah I usually go 1 1/4 oz weight.. But I would try 1 oz since you have it... Later during the summer when the mats gets thicker you May have to bump up to get it through Greg hackney lives near me.. This is is the waters I fish.. And the things I punch... Good video.
  15. Punch through it 1-1/2 ounce weight
  16. I had a pair of Mauis and I did like them until my buddy's dog got a hold of them haha.. Switched to costas and find I prefer the 580g costas.. I prefer Tortoise that's me...
  17. That's an idea too!! Thanks and I Didn't think about golf rings either..

  19. Thanks alot of good feedback
  20. Lews tournament pro g.. The store sells them for 199 but can be found for 150 -160 if you want to save money the Lews tournament MB is a very nice reel as well.. Store sells them for 140 but can be found for a 100 - 110
  21. Like do they ship them protected in big tubes like you would receive if you ordered a rod from tackle warehouse?? I know fed ex and ups handles packages very rough.
  22. Haha that's pretty funny.. I like the company though.. They make some Darn good baits
  23. Yes it does.. Thanks man, My tourney partner gave me a brand new pack of the payback color and told me I need to try these immediately. He said he usually wacky rigs with them but to me they look like a really good Texas rig flipping bait as well as wacky rig..
