  1. So cp recommends 3/0 any one else has any recommendations?? I was using the owner 1/0 wacky hooks but this weekend I bent one on a 3 or 4lb fish. I didn't have a scale..I'm scared to go 1/0 again.
  2. Good idea man
  3. Perfect! I Didn't think of that! thanks
  4. What size do yall use for wacky rigging 5 inch senkos?
  5. Yeah, I thought they may have had a way with less steps thanks though man
  6. This may be the wrong location to ask this, I'm sorry if so. I read and comment on this forum from my iPhone,Mostly while I am at work. I was wondering how do you post pictures from an iPhone? Or how do you resize pictures to post on here.. Every time i try it says my pictures are to large.
  7. I can't seem to find the "perfect" weedless wacky rig hook for 5inch senkos.. The owner 1/0 weedless wacky hook just does not cut it for me..at a pond there perfect but when I'm out in the boat I get hung up constantly.. Any suggestions?
  8. Lews speed spool 70 dollars online *** *** black medium fast 7'1" $100 I'm in south Louisiana and that's what I use for wacky and weightless rigs..the *** has enough backbone and very sensitive
  9. What part of south louisiana??
  10. Out of those I would pick veritas! But since you are in the $100 price range the one I would choose is the *** *** black.. IMO and a bunch of others on this forum the *** black is the best 100 dollar rod out there!
  11. Well I wasn't really talking about the catch rate.. And I fish in dingey, stained sometimes muddy south Louisiana waters most of the time, so that isn't a issue.. Just wondering if there was any issues with the technique with the heavier line
  12. Ever since you and other members told me about the KVD L&L I have been using it faithfully.. Mr. Swim jig never lead me in the wrong direction except the subwoofer on the swim jig, lol I can't get bit with it.. But I can use a Little Dipper on the back in the same color and get it destroyed! Thanks for the help guys..I will stay with the 15 and might try some 12 or so next time! I currently don't have any problems and hopefully I won't have problems in The future.. maybe I will like a smaller line maybe not.
  13. I usually throw baby brush hogs or 6 to 7.5 worms...I have been using space monkeys and other rage products a lot.. 95 percent of the time it's with a 1/8 weight sometimes weightless.. For Texas rigs I always use a gammy 4/0 hook either offset worm or ewg.. my texas rig set up is a lews tournament with a 7'1" *** medium fast..I do not own or plan on owning a spinning reel anytime soon.. Thanks for the help man and will be purchasing some of your jigs in the near future!
  14. So I bought this line to spool two setups one is one of my universal setups that I use mainly for jigs and swim jigs... The other is for my light texas rigs 1/8 tungsten weight usually. I purchased the 15lb test, which is the same diameter as the 12lb mono that I previously used. I really like it for both set ups but was wondering if 15lb test was the correct size floro to use for the light texas rigs? I mean, I think it's good but after reading a bunch of stuff, I was wondering if a 12lb test would be better. I don't plant on removing it or anything i just want to know for future reference. Thanks.
  15. I have a speed spool and a tournament speed spool.. I picked up the tournament speed spool for 92 bucks brand new on the famous auction site and paired it with a *** medium fast and love th set up! Some one correct me if I'm wrong but the only difference between the tournament and tournament pro is the carbon fiber handle which just adds less weight??? It's not that big of weight difference I do know that!
  16. X2 In that order..If I money is right go with honda! Stay away from mercury
  17. TW has a lot of things you will not find at a big box store! If the item you want is at a big box store, the prices will be better at TW not to mention the customer service is by far the best customer service I ever had.
  18. X2!!when I go to the neighborhood pond that my sister lives in.. All I bring is soft plastics.. I have been crushing them on a Little Dipper with a. 3/0 weighted swimbait hook.. Or a baby brush hog 1/8 weight..
  19. Check the h20 express back pack tackle bag from academy I bought one to take in the boat because I'm a back of the boat fisher and it seemed I can fit the most stuff in it but still be organized. And it will not take to much space because its tall not wide Comes with 4 360 Plano boxes.. A removable cooler on the bottom that I use to store plastics.. 2 Spots for pliers.. A big opening at the top, I store my spinner bait binder and 2 more 360 boxes.. A hard sunglasses case attached and a few more pockets.. It even comes with 2 rod holders on each side when walking.. You have to unzip each side and they pull out out.. I never used them but if you move a lot it seems logical..I never attach my cooler with my plastics in it, it has a handle i just hold it until I get in the boat and set it under my lean seat on back of the boat. Look it up its only 50 bucks! one of the cheapest and roomiest book sacks I found..
  20. If I'm looking for fish or lose confidence in what I'm throwing I change often I always have at least 4 to 6 rods in the boat depends on who I'm fishing with honestly .Texas rig set up with 1/8weight and 4/0 hook A crank bait or swim bait A chatterbait or spinner bait Top water Swim jig, brush jig or swim bait set up And usually something weightless like senko, or space monkey When I bring 4 rods I change a lot more often! I wish I had unlimited funds and a 20+ foot bass boat. the more rods with differnt presentations/colors and the more room for your rods the better.. Haha
  21. I bought one and a month later I bought another one.. Definitely a lews fan and recommend them to any one that is in the market.. My dad is a quantum guy and been fishing quantum probally before I was born or at least as long as I can remember (I'm 25).. Any way, he fished with one of mine for a hour and he now owns one and plans on buying more.. IMO its the best bang for the buck expecially if you get them 50 dollars off on the famous auction site, brand new! If you read this thread and think that the people who posted good things about it are just saying that..go to every major fishing site (basspro, TW, etc) and read reviews.. I challenge you to find 5 bad reviews on all sites combined! I think I may have found 1 or 2.. Even the 100 dollar speed spool is awesome and near impossible to find a bad review!
  22. 95 percent of the time im using 1/8.. I just recently bought tungsten and man there's a difference that I really like
  23. Zoom baby brush hog my go to bait! June bug, red bug and black ruby the only 3 colors I need I have been liking the net bait ones in the baby size I think they may be called mad paca I have two colors in them Toledo special and black neon..
  24. I just bought the medium 7'1" and it's perfect! I use 1/8th bullet weights the majority of the time and glad I didn't go with mh! With that being said i will order a medium heavy soon for 3/8 jigs!!! Awesome rods!!
