I've got the Lews BB-2Z on my Okuma swimbait rod & could not be happier.

Lews Bb2?
I picked up one for my Okuma swimbait rod & love it!

Favorite Buzzbait?
I have had great success with the D & M Buzz Saw. The in-line blade is a different sound & the swinging EWG hook lets me rig it weedless. http://www.dmcustombaits.com/the-buzz-saw-2/

Toyota Texas Bass Classic On Fork
Keith Combs just culled a 9-8 for a 10-4, 42 lb sack so far. Forks not done yet! http://www.toyotatexasbassclassicscoring.com/tv.php?id=138

Super Fluke Hooks
When not fishing weightless, I love the Dangleberry Rig if you can still find it. The sliding weight gives the Fluke something the fish may not have seen, when you twitch/jerk it. Can't post the pic for some reason, but Google Image to see it.

Pb For The Pros
There was a Bassmaster Classic preview article several years ago that listed various career highlights of the top 100 ranked pros. I forget the actual count, but I was shocked at the number of pros who did not have a DD - it was the overwhelming majority. Of course, this may have & probably did change since then.

Best Knott For Tying Backing To Main Line?
I just tape off the backing with a piece of duck tape & tie over that using your knot of choice.

New To Swimbaits Need Equipment Help
I just put the Lews BB2 Wide Spool on my swimbait rod & couldn't be happier.

Favorite Lews Reel?
I only use Lews & just got the BB-2Z for my new swimbait rod. It is an absolute dream to use.

All Star Rods Yea? Or Nea?
I still have my original All Star WR1 worm rod plus 2 I found on flea bay. The original rod has made DD trips to Mexico, countless trips to Fork, Toledo Bend & Big Sam. Still to me the best rod I ever used. And speaking of classics, I still have my Castaway "East Texas Grass Rake", the first punching rod before it was called that lol!

Building The World Record Bass
In reading the article & his comments in the Texas Fishing Forum, the computer designed, high volume aeration system made from unobtanium, will optimize the conditions for year round growth. Also, I've never seen a freshwater prawn until the pics - those thongs are HUGE, with foot long pincers LOL!

Braid In Clear Water
When an A-rig goes thru the water column looking like a couple of coat hangers twisted together, I too doubt the issue.

Rib Shad, Size Hook
On the small one you can get by with a 3/0, but the big bait IMO needs at least a 6/0 - there's a lot of plastic from the back to the belly.

Hydrowave
I've got the regular & the mini. I use the mini on my dock for the grandkids because it runs on a 9V battery. I will be honest, there were times it made a difference & times I couldn't get bit. But the one thing that convinced me that it was doing something was the day I had Cormorants all around my trolling motor. I turned it off & they went away - turned it back on & they returned. As far as KVD, it is interesting when he had the prototype in development, he absolutely dominated. Now that they all use it, the field seems a little more balanced. Could be a coincidence.

Okuma Akena For A Swimbait Reel?
Newbie to swimbait fishing. Did a search & didn't get anything on this reel. Good ratio & line capacity. I bought the Okuma Swimbait rod & need a reel to get started. Plus Wally World has it for $71.00 & free shipping. Any opinions would be appreciated. http://www.okumafishing.com/product/view/reels/baitcast-reels-round/akena

Hook For Texas Rigs
I have only bent one that I got hung up. I ended pulling the limb up I was hung on. The hook bent but the barb was still stuck. YMMV but for the price, I'll keep using them.

Hook For Texas Rigs
I picked up several packages of these when my local Sports Authority was blowing out most of their inventory for .99 each. I have always been a Gammy or Trokar fan, but these guys just stick & hold. Took forever to find them , but did so at Cabelas. http://www.cabelas.com/product/Fishing/Terminal-Tackle/Fishing-Hooks%7C/pc/104793480/c/104779980/sc/104391180/Matzuoreg-X-Wide-Gap-J-Bend-Worm-Hooks/738906.uts?destination=%2Fcatalog%2Fbrowse%2Ffishing-hooks%2Fmatzuo%2F_%2FN-1100369%2B1000003982%2FNe-1000003982%2FNs-CATEGORY_SEQ_104391180%3FWTz_l%3DSBC%253Bcat104793480%253Bcat104779980%26WTz_st%3DGuidedNav%26WTz_stype%3DGNU&WTz_l=SBC%3Bcat104793480%3Bcat104779980%3Bcat104391180

Guntersville During The Classic- Anyone Been To A Classic?
Plus one to what has already been said. I take vacation to go to the Classic & FW Cup each year. The freebies are many, autographs and pics are easy to get plus you get to see a lot of the new gear not on the market yet. Last year in Tulsa, I got to spend about 20 minutes talking to Ray Scott. He had a booth selling some of the books he had written and it was near the end of the Expo on Saturday. The stories he told were priceless and the number of pros that stopped by to see him were endless.
