  1. I fish at Floyd Lamb Park (Tule Springs). I just started fishing there couple months ago but I dont believe its new. I have yet to fish at Lake Mead as I am still trying to research it for the best places to shore fish. Lake Mead is also 45 minutes away.
  2. Sounds interesting. I might have to try it out. As long as it catches fish with or without meds. EDIT: Went to bass pro today and picked up this color. I like it a lot. Gives me motivation to use a senko again and hopefully it works in my waters.
  3. I do realize that a lot of you fish different places but just curious to know how far or how long does it take you to get to the places you fish most often? For me it takes 30 minutes with no traffic. With traffic it can take up to 45 minutes. I wish the ponds weren't so far so i could fish more often.
  4. I havent experienced the same exact problem but 2 of my recents 1.0's run way left and it drives me crazy. I researched how to tune it but the ring is so small that its a PITA to get a hold of it.
  5. KVD 1.0 in bluegill or sexy shad.
  6. Congrats man! Nice bass too. Isn't this site awesome?.. Haha
  7. Every pond i fish does not have shad or minnows. I actually fished consistently in 3 different states, and none of the places i fished had shad or minnows.
  8. I remember one day we caught close to 30 peacock bass. By the end of the day my thumb was mangled....and i couldnt wait to go home and show everyone! Mangled thumb = good day!
  9. Mine was also the first bass i ever caught when i was a kid. I didnt even know what a bass looked like at the time. I was fishing with my cousin and he was using a power worm. He let me use his Hula Popper because he didnt want me to get snagged. I was popping along for couple hours in open water. It was to the point where i was popping and observing everything around me except my lure. Then while reeling in the Hula Popper, while it was about 5 feet in front of me......BOOOOOOM!!! Fish on. I yelled to my cousin "Hey i got something!!!" He was about 20 yds away and came running. I got a hold of the bass by the mouth/gills and pulled it up and said "is this a good sized one?"......it was 3-4lbs. Now, anytime someone fishes with me for the first time, i always give them a hula popper first.
  10. Another color Senko that i absolutely loved at night was Junebug. Junebug and Watermelon was my go to colors at night. But I personally would use the black over the white. You dont need the weight, just be patient as the senko falls. Good luck!
  11. I have it dvred but havent watched it yet. Is it worth watching?
  12. I lost 5 kvd 1.0/1.5 lures in 1 day. All in the same area too. Its where i lost my 4-5lber and been hitting that area hard and its costing me money trying to catch it!
  13. Ahh....i was reading your original post.
  14. You used all those lures in 3.5 hours?
  15. Mossberg 500 Mariner and Sig 229 .40. I haven't even broken in the Mossberg yet though.
  16. I would say no. Why change what's working for you? If anything maybe get a new rod in medium or medium heavy or are you looking for a new combo in general? What size reel do you have now?
  17. Definitely sounds like a good trip to me!
  18. I just started fishing a lot again myself and got a St Croix Premier spinning rod. I just bought my first bait casting reel and didnt hesitate to get another Premier for it. I think they are awesome rods. I highly recommend it.
  19. I have the 5 and can't figure it out. It puts the picture in there but doesn't give me a size option. I'm not worried about it but things like this are good to know for the future though.
  20. How do you choose the medium option? I never knew it was an option.
  21. Patience is one of the most important thing in bass fishing. What baits/lures were you using? What time of the day were you fishing? Was that the first time fishing at that pond? How big is the pond? The more detailed information you give, the better.
  22. No kidding. Man i miss night fishing!
  23. Congrats man! Who is Ajay and what worked?
  24. Haha the 8pm is a typo and its supposed to be 8am. But i agree 100% with what you said.....very early morning and late evening into night. Only reason i fish at 5pm is because thats when the gate opens. If i could, I would rather fish at night at be leaving by 7am. I have caught more bass at night and its the most fun I have had. If your ponds allow it, try it!
  25. Years ago I bought some generic looking frogs but hardly ever used them. It seems like using frogs these days have gotten a lot more popular and the baits are much more realistic. I have no experience with any of the newer frogs but I want to try some out again so wondering what is your go to frog? In the meantime, I'll be watching some frog videos! EDIT: I am interested in top water frogs. Double EDIT: Disregard this thread as I now see there are enough recent threads on this subject. Initially when i searched "frogs" nothing specific came up but when i search "koppers" I have all the info I am looking for.
