How Does The Sensitivity Of The Ethos Compare To Other Rods?
I have the 7'MH Ethos as my worm/jig rod, and I've been pleased with it. I use either 50lb stealth or 12lb CXX, and I think that I can feel the bites well enough. I believe that I may be missing something however with my jigs. Primarily when I use the CXX. I can really feel what's going on with the braid, but I don't really like braid since you have to tie leaders and I hate casting the knot through the eyes. What I would like to know is if in your opinion I should look for a better jig rod, or continue to use the ethos? Is the ethos much less sensitive than rods like the vendetta?

Fenwick Eagle Gt
I don't ever lock down the drag on my spinning reels. I figured that with how thin the line is, I have to keep just enough pressure to keep the hook in and no more.

Fenwick Eagle Gt
Thanks for the input on the Fenwick. There's not that many Fenwick fans as compared to a company like St.Croix. I know that braid can put more stress on a reel and graphite is cheaper but also a lot weaker, I still think that I'm going to spool braid on it. Mostly because I can't stand to use spinning reels with out it. I've been trying that trilene xl armour coated on spinning reels, and it's ok but I still have a difficult time using it. I don't like fluoro though simply because of the nature of it. It stretches at first but won't go back, and the lack of elasticity I think makes it weaker over time. I may try some fluoroclear though.

Fenwick Eagle Gt
How are these? I know that they're on the cheaper end, but I really don't want to spend much on a spinning combo. My main concern is that the sensitivity won't be very good. I plan on getting a 6'6 medium fast as an all purpose finesse rod but also as a rod for my senkos and flukes, because those are two techniques that I personally enjoy on a spinning rod more. Sensitivity may not be such a problem since I plan on spooling up some #20 pound braid on it, but I've deep hooked so many fish on senkos that it's a big issue for me. It has to be more sensitive than my current rod though, it just came on a $50 pflueger combo. I plan on putting a president on it.

Be sure to read this http://www.bassresource.com/bass-fishing-forums/topic/123244-graphite-rod-purchase-and-im-ratings/?hl=+im%20+ratings%20+on%20+rod Sorry about the highlighted parts of it I had to search for that thread.

See, these IM7 and IM8 ratings don't matter, because they vary from each manufacturer. They're okay to compare RODS OF THE SAME MANUFACTURER to each other, but there's no way to compare RODS OF A DIFFERENT MANUFACTURER simply by IM or whatever rating that they use. Until there's an industry standard rating they can never be the same.

What Are Some Of Your Best All Around Bait's You Use For Bass?
10 inch ribbon tail worms. They're just so versatile. You can swim it, drag it, hop it, rig it on a texas rig, carolina rig, and if you watched glenn says that you can drop shot them.

House Brand Or Name Brand?
That's what I was trying to ask. If you can get a nice house brand reel for the same price as a name brand reel, which would you choose. I don't think a lot of people understood what I was asking.

Do The Revo S And Sx Have Interchangeable Sideplates?
Ok. I figured that it wouldn't work, but thought that it may work. Anyway, the reason I ask was that my friend just got a SX for $50. He really hates the magnetic only brakes but loves them on his STX. I figured that I would ask for him.

Do The Revo S And Sx Have Interchangeable Sideplates?
Just wondering if they did, because it seems like if you put the sideplate from the sx on to the s it would give the s a dual braking system.

Jig Colors Why Do We Limit Ourselves?
I'm in the same boat. I only like to have what's working not any extras, that's why I only keep brownish green colors and black and blues. There's no reason for anything else. I honestly think that since your trailer is what has the action, that's what I should focus on.

How Much Does A 10 Inch Worm Weigh?
I plugged it into google. 16.2 grams equals .571438 of an ounce.

House Brand Or Name Brand?
Lots of times they'll replace it even if you straight up tell them that you broke it in the car door also.

Electrical Tape On Wacky Rig
That's what I was trying to say, but some people were thinking that I meant it was the best way ever. It's not. After so long the electrical tape will loose it's "sticky" and fall off, but I'd rather have a piece of tape fall of than my senko when I'm trying to load my rod up.

What A Drag.......
Whatever I think feels right, and then I forget about it. Of course when I talk to other guys I use fractions and percentages so that it seems like I know what I'm talking about. Seems like I'm not the only one.

A Rigs
And I felt crazy for throwing a donkey rig.

Do You Remember Your First Jig Fish???
Yes, because it was only a few months ago. It was on a Strike King Bleeding Bait 1/4 Bitsy Bug in black/blue with a 3.25" black and blue Yum Crawbug. I won't ever forget it because it was also my first keeper fish in a tournament as well as my first fish on my first real baitcasting combo. I still own the jig. It's the bigger one I'm holding in my profile picture.

Hard Jerkbait Vs Fluke?
Hard Jerkbaits = around cover and structure Soft Jerkbaits = in cover and structure Soft jerkbaits are generally better than hard jerkbaits in the warmer months, but suspending hard jerkbaits can have a huge advantage over soft jerkbaits.

Bank Pond Fishing
Smaller spinnerbaits, senkos, Texas rigs, squarebills, frogs, flukes, etc. Almost everything works, and pond fishing is some of the most fun that you can have fishing. All of the cover is relatively close to you so you never have to go searching for the fish. Remember not to overfish the pond though!

Electrical Tape On Wacky Rig
I was just offering this as a quick on the water solution to use if you forgot to use the heat shrink tubing or your out of O-rings or what ever since nearly every angler already has a roll of electrical tape somewhere. I never meant for this to be a permanent rigging solution.

House Brand Or Name Brand?
When given the option, would you rather buy a house brand reel with really attractive features like the Bass Pro Carbonlite or H2O Xpress Mystic or would you go with a name brand reel with average features like a Shimano Citica or an Abu Revo S? I would also like the reasons why you would prefer your choice over the alternative.

Which Reel Between These Two?
If price is a really big issue I would look at the Pflueger President combo. It's $70, but you're getting the President and a decent rod that you can upgrade later.

Which Reel Between These Two?
That Eagle GT is awesome but I wouldn't suggest the ugly stick when the lightning rod is the same price. You won't get the same durability as with the ugly stick, but since what gives the ugly stick it's durability is the fiberglass that it's made of, that's also a disadvantage. The lightning rod will give you more sensitivity and a faster action since it's a graphite blank.
