Before you buy the lews have you checked out the okuma trio? It's a pretty sweet reel for the price.

My local Wal-Mart has these as a combo for $70. It really reminds me of a C3 and even says "made in Sweden", except for the fact that it has 3 bushings instead of bearings. Couldn't I get this and then replace the bushings for bearings? And from what I understand bushings are better than bearings for saltwater (easier to wash out), and I fish saltwater maybe a month each year.

That's how I dealt with my bully problem in 6th grade. Same deal too. I was a lot bigger than him even though he was a year or two older. He always used to shoot on me while we were running laps during wrestling practice. He always made fun of my southern accent and since his dad was a doctor and his mom was a lawyer that he had the right to call every one poor. Well, sadly my great grandfather died that year and his funeral was on the same day as our wrestling tournament. Do you know what that butthole did? The next day at practice he started picking on me for missing the tournament and then had the balls to push me knowing that I was still pretty upset about the whole deal. That was the final straw, I was so upset that I turned around and knocked him in the jaw with the strength of Samson. There was a really loud crack mixed with a thud sound that still makes me smile today. And even though I knocked him down my hand was super swollen. I didn't get in any trouble because in the words of my coach "that (feminine hygiene product) had it coming" and we never told mom. But the moral of the story is that if you're going to stand up for yourself don't punch in the head unless you only want to hurt yourself. My dad actually broke his hand in high school when he punched some body.

You've got to remember that I was born in 99' so most of my generation is still in high school. I've gotten to really like what's his face from Avenged Sevenfold, both of Mastodon' s guitarist, Daron Malakin from SOAD, I think Dimebag was awesome but as you know he's dead. Now Zakk Wylde is great and I love black label, but not my generation. As an overall band godsmack is great although they're nothing special when it comes to guitar, and the same goes for Johnny Cash.

I'd love to see the Foos. Have you seen him play drums for Tenacious D? The Foo Fighters actually are in a tie with Pearl Jam as my all time favorite band.

I believe that they are, and I think that bass pro reels used to be. But they aren't as blatantly obvious as the prodigy.

How does your church do tournaments? We do ours just like a regular tournament. It's actually pretty challenging since there's a lot of tournament fishermen and one flw guy. We only fish from sunrise until 12 or 1 though.

Don't just decide based on what we say, they're both good rods so just decide what you think feels better.

It's the best rod you'll find under $75. Everyone loves them, just search them in the forums and you'll see what I mean.

Now we can obviously tell that the cabelas prodigy b is made by daiwa. It even has magforce z brakes and a free floating spool. Now are there any other reels that are sold like this? I'd love to find a revo for a $100 just because it said cabelas.

I'm surprised that no one's said this yet, but the vicious is not the best line. When I tried it I was afraid that if I looked at it to hard it would break.

I'm going to put a 3/4in. spinner on my magnetic brake dial, led lights, cheetah print knobs (get to work Hawgtech), hydraulics on my reel seat, and a purple paint job on my max reels. It's gonna be PIMPTASTIC

The micros are the best don't get me wrong, but I was just saying that the technique recommendations are the best. But you know how to fish, and you know that technique recommendations aren't important. I would say that you would be good with anything from the AST's through the micros. Have you checked out the ethos rods?

So are you trying to buy a new spinning rig?

I like the cranking stik, not necessarily the length but the action. I like having a little more length on a crankbait rod so that you can really throw them out there, but 7' is really as big as I need. I hate how the Carolina rig rod is a 7'mh, while the jig rod is a 6'6m. The micro rods have the best techniques in my opinion though.

If you don't want to spend a lot on fluoro red label is your best option on the cheap.

I don't like the techniques that they recommend on the AST rods though.

Maybe if we're lucky that guys not up to par on his knowledge about this and they're just adding some more ratios and doing like they did with their swim baits.
