Not A Climb For The Squeamish
I'd hate to get up there only to find out they don't have sweet tea.

Beaver Style Plastics
Nobody's mentioned the Big Bite Baits YoMamma. I love them. Easily my most successful beaver bait. I use the 4" on a texas or carolina rig and the 3" as a jig trailer. I can't praise these baits enough.

Are You In A Bass Club?
I fish in a church club. We aren't required to pay anything. It's really awesome that these guys are willing to take us fishing for free. A lot of times people give their boater $20 for gas, but still we aren't even required to do that. We're all friends though, and usually we can ask them politely to try to get a good spot for the both of us and they'll agree. We understand though that sometimes being back boated is what it takes to win. If we're in a good spot having your non-boater being back boated is not a main concern. I understand what you're saying and I agree. If you're paying you should get a chance to fish, but I don't think that you should do it like that. It may just take getting to know the guys and asking nicely for a good spot. I think calling the boaters out is more than likely going to get you kicked out. From what I understand paying $25 is a fairly cheap price for a bass club. You've got to think about how much it cost to maintain a boat. I'd just ask nicely.

Fishing This Pond
This helped a lot actually. I'm expecting more than clumps though as this lake is chock full of the stuff. It may help though because I've been trying to get more confidence with lip less cranks, and I may even try a sqaure bill or two.

Fishing This Pond
I'm still going to take the ultralight, but that brushpiles just five yards over is always to tempting. I'm sure you know how it is.

Fishing This Pond
My dad wants to go fish this pond on Saturday. It's been recently stocked by the state with rainbows so he's going to try to catch supper. I've caught a few bass here when I go crappie fishing, but nothing over a pound and a half, although I've seen a few larger bass busting on baitfish. There's serveral brush piles scattered a long the bank, along with hydrilla all around the banks (although it may have died off since this fall). There's also a small section of it that's just a mud bank. It floods very often, and the bank slopes off pretty slowly. I'm not really sure how deep it really gets though. I'll be fishing from the bank. I'll probably through a shaky head, senko, spinnerbait, and maybe pitch a small 1/4oz bitsy bug into the brush piles. What else would y'all try? https://maps.google.com/maps?hl=en-US&q=lake+junior&ie=UTF-8&ei=vgzGUpnfNIegkAfD0ICQBA&ved=0CAoQ_AUoAA

Line For Spinnerbaits On Baitcaster
This is what I use as well. It has a little more stretch than fluoro, but not nearly as much as mono.j It's also abrasion resistant, so you can pull them out of the brush piles.

Revo S Or Quantum Catalyst?
One HUGE thing to consider is that the Orra SX has a magnetic brake system while the Revo S makes use of a centrifugal brake system. I'm a much bigger fan of centrifugal brakes, because you can just set them and leave them. Magnetic brakes may need to be adjusted several times during the day, which I think is too easy to forget when you're out fishing. I get more distance from centrifugal brakes as well. I believe that tne Quantum Catalyst comes with a dual cast control system. I'm not very experienced with the I've never fished the Catalyst, but I've felt it in the store. I think that the Revo S feels much nicer. I don't want to be the guy who tells you to get something else, but I will say that if you are willing to spend a little more the new Pflueger Supreme XT seems like a really nice real. Pflueger and Abu are both PureFishing brands, and I believe that the Supreme XT is built on the same base as the Revo SX. However it features centrifugal brakes unlike the Revo SX which uses a magnetic brake system.

Smallmouth, Ugly??
I've been saving money to get a guide on Dale Hollow. I'd love to catch some more, but sadly the Chickamauga smallmouth aren't nearly as good as the largemouth. I'm going to try to get my friend to show me how to catch more on the Tennessee River for now. I've got to give it to the Sunfish species as the prettiest freshwater fish. Mainly the tiny orange spotted sunfish. Here's a picture I found on Google that matches one's I've caught by the boat docks.

Crankbait Stock Hook Replacements
That's what I thought. They look like they're for fliping or something. I should have looked more carefully, I'll exchange them Friday for some 2X.

Crankbait Stock Hook Replacements
I've gotta bring this back real quick. What gauge hooks do you need to upgrade to? I just got some BBC short shank round bend hooks, but I didn't realize that they were 4X. Is this too thick?

Sqaurebill Colors
Sorry I forgot to reply to this thread. I checked out what everyone said and went and got a few basics. They're all H2O baits except for one Bandit 100 crawfish orange belly. I got a bluegill, chrome/blue back, chartreuse/black back, and a chartreuse shad. I should be set.

Smallmouth, Ugly??
That's sadly my PB smallie. It felt HUGE on a spincast reel.

In Need Of A Light Weight Medium Fast Rod.
Agreed. I have been very pleased with mine. I just got two more for Christmas, for a total of 3.

Sqaurebill Colors
What are some basic sqaure bill colors? What color of crankbait is like green pumpkin for soft plastics? How is chartreuse? Does it mimic shad and baitfish fairly well?

Worm Suggestions
I've been really impressed by netbait. At first I thought that they were just another brand like Big Bite Baits (which I love) that copied other brands and made cheaper lures, but boy was I wrong. The dirt dawg is an extremely original lure, and they invented the Paca Craw. Big Bites has also put out some original lures like the warmouths, squirrel tails, and real deal craws.

I really like Columbia's omni-heat stuff.

Worm Suggestions
NetBait C-Mac!!! My favorite worm by far. Great action, durability, and price. They also have a fairly slow fall rate, even when rigged on a 1/4 or 3/8 ounce Texas rig. I find that bass will hold on to them a lot longer and strike harder than compared to an ol' monster. I think that you should really consider picking a pack up to try for the $3 bucks they cost.

11" Oscar Caught On A Frog
It's amazing how bright the red spots are. I would think that it would make camouflaging itself difficult, but judging by it's size I'd say that it's done okay.

Live Worms For Fishing In River This Time Of Year?
Senkos work really well, but will be just as exspensive as live worms. I like the yum dingers really well, but I find that the big bite baits trick sticks are just as good.

Looking For A Crankbait Rod Under $100
