I'm going to check out the army store tomorrow and see if they would have anything that may work.

Alabama Rig Going Bye Bye?
I'm surprised that they haven't banned senkos.

FLW banned live bait as well but it's still being used a lot.

Wearing Gloves While Fishing?
I'm going to look around academy pretty soon and see how the gloves feel. I'm going to avoid any grip on the thumb so it won't grip the line while I thumb the spool.

How are these? It seems like that ten killer color would be good in stained water.

Wearing Gloves While Fishing?
Now that summer is winding down and it's going to start getting cold I need some way to keep warm. I figured I could buy early before it gets cold, but wanted to know if you can use gloves while fishing? Does it make it hard to cast? Do you loose any sensitivity? And if you do use gloves what do you use? I was thinking about getting some bow gloves since they give you some better movement in your hands.

Brand New Mettle Is Really Loud
Took her back and exchanged it for a new one and love it. Oiled the bearings and it's great. I fished it on Saturday in a tournament and used it to come in second. My boater caught a 3 pounder and I caught a 2.5 and a 1.5 in 3 fish limit. No one caught anything over 3 being that it was a river. I caught even more spots that measured and it held up great. My new favorite reel.

Really? I thought telling them how far you can throw a buzzbait got all the girls?

Small Stream Smallies
I'll be wading in maybe some shin deep water at most. I have Raynaud' s disease so the cold really bothers me. I don't have it severely, but it still makes it hard to move my extremities (mainly fingers) when it happens. I'll primarily be on the bank though.

Ok. I fish mine both ways and wasn't sure. It's easily my favorite all around lure.

Small Stream Smallies
Ok. Sorry this is my first time fishing like this. I won't be wading or canoeing and I plan on using the MH for LMB later that day. Thanks for the help though because it never crossed my mind about the oxygen.

Small Stream Smallies
I don't know that's why I came here for just general recommendations. My dad's taking me and all he told me was it's pretty small and from what I can tell it's a rocky bottom. I'm a bigger fan of smallies than trout though.

It's just like any other sport where the chance of you going pro aren't very high. I'm not trying to be discouraging because I to would love to be a professional angler and I'm going to try as hard as possible to be one, but for now I have to be realistic and realize that education should come first. Look at KVD, Ike, or any other major angler. They're all well educated. You can tell because of how they talk. They're very persuasive with out being pushy because of their vocabulary, grammar, and how they speak. This is the same for every career. The well educated will always be on top.

Small Stream Smallies
Going rainbow trout fishing in a small stream on Sunday and I want to get some smallies. I'm only going to take 3 rigs which are a 7'MH casting rod with lo-viz green 12 P-Line CXX, a 6'6M spinning rod with lo-viz green 10 Trilene XL, and an 6' ultralight for trout with some 4 pound mono. I would probably use the 6'6M for smallmouth but is this to heavy? Not really sure what to fish, but I'd probably use a bitsy jig with a paca chunk trailer, small 1/8 spinnerbaits, some stick baits and maybe some curly tail grubs. Any thing else y'all can recommend?

Which Reel????
After getting a good mettle I have to recommend it. I haven't heard anything bad about it, but I have heard bad things about the arid and code durability wise.
