Did you see the game Sunday night????? The great bears defense has been spotty at best. (and I hate to say that since I grew up in suburban Chicago. :'( ) Yes, and as I said, that is the formula by which Smith runs the team. His offense doesn't have to do much as long as the defense is playing well. They aren't thanks to a load of injuries.

No bow hunting for me (although the season opens in a week). I'll probably get my rifles out next week for a good clean and bench session. My season starts in a month.

I'll take a Californian's word for it...

Just got this photo from a friend. He got it yesterday in a local reservoir. 48 lbs. on the nose. 1 lb. 4 oz. shy of the state record. I knew there were some big ones in there, but I didn't know they were this big. Might have to rethink my carp fishing tackle from now on. 2-3 years ago, this same guy caught one around the same size from the bank. Couldn't get it out of the water or weighed due to having had surgery a week prior and being alone. IMO there is a state record carp swimming in this lake.

Grossman had about as much to do with the Bears making the Subpar Bowl as I did with Boyd Duckett winning the Classic this year. With the way that team is set up, they only need a QB who doesn't make stupid mistakes. Let the defense win games for them. Now that their defense is hobbled, they need a QB who can make things happen. That ain't Grossman. He's got a good arm, but makes poor decisions.

The problem is that they would never even see the note. I don't mind them leaving it on the porch as no one is going to bother anything there. My problem is that I often never know when an item is delivered. It will just magically appear. I've had a couple of items that were 'signature required' that were left without a signature. But as I said, it is more of a gripe about all shipping companies, not just UPS. Hell, I had my mail held last week while I was at the beach. Carrier delivered a week's worth of mail on Monday. Instead of leaving it on the porch, they managed to cram all that mail, plus two small boxes (reel and medicine) into my standard sized mailbox. I almost had to cut the box open to get the reel out.

Cal 911 Seek help IMMEDIATELY! The feeling will pass soon. Either that or hunting season will get here.

Two weeks in and two of my favorites are already gone. :'( Chicken lives about 50 miles from me and Ashley is just a hot (yet trashy) WWE Diva. I will say one thing, Jamie is officially the hottest chick to ever appear on the show.

That is a decent light and the one I finally settled on after trying many different models this summer. It isn't quite bright enough for my liking, but the battery life is good and the light is good enough for close up work. I also bought an Optronics UV led with secondary halogen bulbs. While the UV lights are quite good, the halogen light will drain 3 AAA's in less than a night of rare usage. I've tried green and red LED's, IMO they're pretty much useless. If I'm using a lamp with either, I'll keep it on the red when I'm fishing just to have a little light. A UV headlamp is indispensible when night fishing, no matter if you have blacklights on the boat or not.
