Showing kids the way......
Kid's Day was an overwhelming success. We registered 387 kids and completely ran out of food. Thanks to our major sponsors: Food City (provided all of the food and drink) Wal Mart - Middlesboro KY Skeeter Ranger Cabelas And now for the photos.

Night bite on!
Battery charging now. Going to try a few different baits tonight. Last night was spur of the moment and I just used what I had tied on. Lake was stocked with trout last week and I spent a lot of time throwing a swimbait. After seeing the trout that the kids caught on Saturday, I'm thinking I need a 15" swimbait.

So who is *VIDEO* ready?
If I could ever remember to charge the camera and take it with.

Roadwarrior impersonation
The RW method worked twice for me last night. Threw out the old stickbait, dug for a smoke, got it lit, picked up the slack and had a fish on. Also works when picking a backlash.

Night bite on!
TheBeast and I went to our local haunt last night to give night fishing a try. I've done a bit of catfishing at night, but never went after bass. Launched just before dark last night and had our first fish on not long after. I jumped out to an early lead fishing a weightless stickbait. Good thing about night fishing is that the person in the back can't see what you're using. He finally caught on and ended up catching some good ones too. Finally tally was 8 for him, 7 for me. All in a little less than 3 hours (have to be off the lake by 12). His camera-fu was weak, but my Fuji-style was strong. ;D So addictive I'm probably going to head back tonight.

Trailer wheel bearing maintenance
Cheap add-on that provides a false sense of security?

Paca Craw or Baby Paca Craw????????????????
If there is a better craw plastic on the market, I haven't seen it. IMO the claws are what sets the Paca Craws and Chunks apart from all others.

Trailer wheel bearing maintenance
Of course there is a major difference. I just wonder why everyone thinks that a Bearing Buddy is all that and a bag of chips.

Congrats Randall!!!
Yeah, where is the article? :-?

Roadwarrior impersonation
I've got all of that down save for the monster bass part. Seems like every time I light up I catch a fish or get a bite.

U.S. Reel?
Cheaper meaning cheaper to assemble. Why pay someone $10-15 an hour to assemble a reel that will sell for $20-40 when they can pay someone $10 a day to do the same thing?
-
Quantum Customer Service
Cheaper for them to just replace disposable reels.

AOL is THE WORST!
If you're that far back in the sticks, DSL isn't even an option. There are other ISP's out there. I wouldn't use AOL if they were the only thing available.

Re: hydrofoils
Start with the motor all the way down and slowly trim up as you get up to speed and on plane.

When you say 'bearing buddy', do you mean these: http://www.bearingbuddy.com/ or something like this: http://dexteraxle.com/e_z_lube_system

Kid's Day next weekend
Me not take photos Russ? Hell, if you guys only knew how many photos I take in a week... Actually I am the designated photographer for the thing. Suits me fine as I'm not that good with kids (no patience) and I fancy myself a photographer. Which reminds me, need to charge some batteries. As for the junior team, we have nothing of the sort in the area (at least that I know of). Have to be 16 to join our club.

Questions for Exp Swimbaiters...
One thing that I have read (but have no empirical evidence thus far) is that rather than swimming a big bait from shallow to deep, you should swim deep to shallow. The thinking given for that was that a big fish won't exert the energy to chase a meal into open water. If they have it cornered, that is another story altogether. Ambush points.
