  1. 12 3700 boxes, plus who knows what else. I need a mini-forklift. ;D
  2. If you like XL, you'll love P-Line CX.

  4. Here's hoping I have something a little bigger next time.
  5. Whoops, I guess I should take my own advice and not believe everything I see on the internet. :-[
  6. Was buying some Big Game tonight at Wally World and noticed that they had 1/4 lb. spools of Sufix Superior. First time I'd seen the line. Started to buy some until I saw it's point of origin. Why pay a dollar more for something made in China when you can buy USA made Big Game? Lord knows I'll probably end up trying it in the next two months anyway. I'm such a line ho... :-X
  7. Carp aren't quite that easy. When you're dealing with the small ones (much like with any fish), sure. But when you get into the big fish, they're just as wise and wary as a pig bucketmouth.
  8. One thing you must take into account is that a lot of the Japanese people (much like city dwellers the world over) have never been up close and personal with livestock.
  9. The white wire coming out of the male plug should be attached to the trailer tongue. I don't know where you ordered your LED's, but Wal Mart has a great set of tail lights for $49. If I could afford it, I would switch all of my stuff to LED.
  10. I had planned on getting the 7'6 but Tackle Warehouse was out of stock. I think I like the mini-pistol on the 7'11 a little better. Sad thing is that the split-grip is going to ruin me on all of my other rods.
  11. Just got my 7'11 H Guide Select. This is a nice rod for the money. Just hope it fits in my rod locker. I was worried that the H would be a telephone pole, but the tip is surprisingly soft.
  12. http://www.news.ninemsn.com.au/article.aspx?id=263297 Japanese fooled in poodle scam Thursday Apr 26 20:55 AEST Thousands of Japanese have been swindled in a scam in which they were sold Australian and British sheep and told they were poodles. Flocks of sheep were imported to Japan and then sold by a company called Poodles as Pets, marketed as fashionable accessories, available at $1,600 each. That is a snip compared to a real poodle which retails for twice that much in Japan. The scam was uncovered when Japanese moviestar Maiko Kawamaki went on a talk-show and wondered why her new pet would not bark or eat dog food. She was crestfallen when told it was a sheep. Then hundreds of other women got in touch with police to say they feared their new "poodle" was also a sheep. One couple said they became suspicious when they took their "dog" to have its claws trimmed and were told it had hooves. Japanese police believe there could be 2,000 people affected by the scam, which operated in Sapporo and capitalised on the fact that sheep are rare in Japan, so many do not know what they look like. "We launched an investigation after we were made aware that a company were selling sheep as poodles," Japanese police said, the The Sun reported. "Sadly we think there is more than one company operating in this way. "The sheep are believed to have been imported from overseas - Britain, Australia." Many of the sheep have now been donated to zoos and farms.
  13. All depends on how much you use it. And who the hell puts sealed bearings on a boat trailer? Are you sure they're sealed or do they just have the dome cap on the hubs?
  14. Tie on a swivel a couple of feet ahead of the bait.
  15. Probably only a matter of time. BPS doesn't even list the Advantage in their 07 Master Catalog. truth be told, i like the TDA 153 better than the Citica

I've already been skunked more this year than I was all of last year. Guess it's time to start taking some nightcrawlers with me...just in case.
  17. They gotta rest sometime. I think I've caught every one in the river over the last week. ;D Any time I have a chance to catch an 8 lb. fish, I jump on it.
  18. I love the 153 HST. I need to buy a couple more before Daiwa discontinues them.
  19. My yankanese is 10x worse than LBH's redneckish. :-/
  20. Nothing will freak you out more than being out on a lake in a canoe and having a huge carp jump about a foot out of the water no more than 5' from you.
  21. That is quite the drop on that hitch.
  22. Yep, if today showed me anything it is that I'll never buy another rear drag reel. Using a Spirex 2500RE, the drag kept sticking. I spent almost as much time adjusting the drag as I did fighting the fish. We've got some big ones in the lakes around here. The little 65 acre lake I fish most is full of 20-40 lb. carp. Friend of mine caught a 46 pounder there a couple of years ago.
  23. Just buy a set of LED lights and be done with it.
